My intention was not to blast a kid. I made that clear previously that kids don't use their heads. I didn't. Many of us didn't. My intent was to challenge an adult that Zeke listens to to get in his hear and offer some counseling.

Related or unrelated it's my understanding that Zeke has made the decision that Twitter is not for him.

One less distraction. Enjoy the season, Zeke.

I'm not bashing Zeke. We're all full of bravado at 17 and Twitter is dangerous for those at 17 with bravado. Not a huge deal.

He simply needs some good advice.

You mean 18, right?

18 would be correct in Zeke's case.

I thought Joker Phillips hit it right on the head when he explained how he approaches Twitter with his UK team at the SEC Media Day. Joker said he tells all his players that for every tweet they send out that you might as well start every one of them with the salutation, "Dear General Manager", referring to the NFL GMs. I thought that was a great line and drives home the point that every tweet is a direct reflection on you and fair game for anyone to criticize, judge, or interpret. His other point was that everything you send can be viewed by not only friends, but future employers, rivals, etc. Social media is here to stay. Bottom line-- be smart!!

Those tweets posted by Zeke look pretty tame to me. I guess it shows how crazy they are in Alabama when those tweets create the stir they did.

As to tweeting, facebook and the whole social media spectrum, it is new technology that everyone is trying to figure out. IMO you better be conservative in what you post. Definitely don't post anything you wouldn't say to someone in a public setting. You never know who is going to see what you post. I have seen some facebook posts from kids that caused me to lose respect for them, dropping profanities everywhere and saying things that are uncalled for in any setting. Kids (and adults) need to realize that you become what you post in the eyes of those who see it.

His twitter account has been deleted.

His twitter account has been deleted.

:lol::lol::lol:

Reminds me of the little kid that wouldn't play nice with others and was told to take his football and go home.

Hope he learns a lesson from this.

I will say if it was Zeke Pike making those tweets it probably wasn't a good idea, but it is funny that people on this site are critaical of someone posting inflamatory remarks much worse has been said about Zeke on this website than any of his tweets.

If something violates our user agreement please report the post.

I'm sure Zeke has learned his lesson if the Twitter account has been deleted. He is just a kid and entitled to a few missteps. People just need to leave him alone and remember that they too made mistakes as kids.

I agree we all make mistakes and I for one hope Zeke has a phenomenal year.

There is no "if."

You are correct about comments made on here about Zeke. Uncalled for.
