Montgomery County sharpshooter Omar Prewitt, the state’s top shooter in the Class of 2013, had a big-time summer for The Ville.

 

The 6-foot-4 Prewitt hit 37 three-pointers in the adidas Invitational early in July and kept up his hot shooting in the Kentucky HoopFest and the AAU Super Showcase and AAU Nationals. The Ville was successful in all four events.

 

With his solid showing, Prewitt said the interest is beginning to pick up.

 

His lone offer is from Georgetown College but he’s also hearing from Eastern Kentucky University and Belmont among several others.

Omar is already one of the top players in his class in the state and the top player in his region, yet he still has so much more room for growth and improvement. If you look at the young man, he is about 6'4-6'4, 165 if that. When this young man begins to mature and develop, watch out. If this kid gets to 6'5-6'6 190 or so, which is very possible, I think the sky is the limit.
