I think the Braves will do what they always do of late - they'll either stand pat or make a trade for someone that is almost no help at all (DERREK LEE).

I'm just hoping if they make a big move they don't give up too many good prospects, like in the Tex deal.

 

Mike Minor and a couple more prospects for Pence. Not sure if that would get it done though.

^ I actually like Minor, and would be afraid of letting him go. Braves have a lot of young talent so they could manage but they all have such high potential it sucks to trade him.

 

I'd really like for them to trade for Quentin though, I think he'd do well with the Braves.

I like Minor too but with Delgado, Teheran, Viscaino etc he's expendable if it means the Bravos have a better shot this year. Plus, Pence wouldnt be a two month rental either.

I think the Braves can keep Jurrjens and Hanson. Hudson and Lowe won't be around much longer and they both make significant $$. When they leave that will open up money to resign Hanson and Jurrjens.

 

As for the Braves making a move, everything I see says they will. I think they are interested in Michael Bourn, Carlos Quentin, Ludwick, BJ Upton and Willingham. I would hope they are interested in them in this order:

 

Bourn

Upton

Quentin

Ludwick

Willingham

 

I'd be happy with any of the 1st three. Not happy with the last two.

Braves still looking. Apparently a lot of current players rolled their eyes when they were told that Braves officials say they have "4 to 6" untouchable players and will not trade them. Seems like Braves players want either Bourn or Upton.
