Shannon Burcham has been named the new principal at Trigg County High. They are now looking for a new coach one month before the season starts.

 

Burcham was 26-22 in four years at Trigg.

Do they have someone on staff that could take over? Might be the best option this late.

The offensive coordinator may step into the role, and they hired former Trigg/Madisonville/Hopkinsville coach Dixie Jones to join the staff a few months ago. It will be interesting to see what Trigg does ... given the timing, an "interim" tag might be the best option.

Where did Curtis Higgins go after leaving Fern Creek? Any chance Higgins comes back this year or next?

Trigg County promoted offensive coordinator Coby Lewis to head coach. There is no interim tag.

I'm shocked they didn't tag someone interim for a year and then open it up statewide. The number of "retired" coaches who frequent the lakes area would have made it an interesting candidate pool.
