Tryout's should be happening as we speak: - two-a-days and lots of practive coming up. Pre-season favorite are looking to be:

Campbell Co

St. Patricks

Harrison Co

Clark Co.

 

Wild Cards would be Deming, Scott and maybe Pendelton Co. and Mason)

(this would be my pre-season preakdown for 10th regions playoff.

 

 

So how does everyone see it fall out. IMO - until someone knocks off NCC (which can be done) they are the champs. I am looking at an agressive schedule and have to throw Clark Co into he mix. The have some great players with playoff experience that could push them to state.

I'll pick NCC also. While they might be improving I cannot see Deming, St. Patrick, or Mason Co. winning the region.

It's loaded with info, scores, game stuff, and pictures. Seems up to date, better than most other VBall sites. Not many stats though.

Looks like they have a light schedule. Roster shows 7 seniors I think so that should help.

Unless your name is Newport Central Catholic, you can go ahead and cancel your travel plans to go to state. The winner this year of district 37 (NCC) hosts the Region 10 tourney this year. So, Region 10 champ pretenders (like GRC, Campbell County) barring a colossal collapse by NCC, you are going to have to beat NCC in their own gym to go to state. Good luck with that. Now, having recently seen NCC again, they will keep you in the game by making a lot of serving errors (serving them long - which I guess is better than short) so the score might be closer than the match actually is, but it will still be a thorough(bred) thrashing of Region 10.

Playing with a new soph libero as The regular libero was being held out for health and safety reasons . Newport Central Catholic defeated Bishop Brossart 2-0 , 25-13 , 25-13 . This was the Breast Cancer awareness game , sponsered by Chicks and Chucks http://chicksandchucks.org/ an extremely worthwhile organisation . The game rotates between the two schools and this year was at Bishop Brossart's gym .
