July 5, 201115 yr As always, the fireworks show was well attended and the crowd was orderly. Lots of children oohing and aahing, a couple of them crying. There was a pair of slightly inebriated gentlemen, probably in their late 30s, "woo-hooing" every other breath; daring each other to "do it again!". I was going to ask them if they were recruiting young Republicans, but I eventually decided against it - I didn't want to run the risk of contracting connies (conservative cooties). A good time was had by the family and daughter's new boyfriend. Nice to run into Beverlybubba and talk a little Georgetown football.:thumb:
July 5, 201115 yr Proud of my kids--got the job done! Between fishing and tubing and shooting hoops and x-boxing and fireworks they recruited their liberal cousins! By the end of the night the cousins were registering on-line for the Republican party AND making campaign contributions.
