Are we asking most talented or most successful?

 

If it's most successful it's MJ & Pippen.

 

If we're asking most talented it's neither. Kobe & Shaq take that honor, with MJ & Scottie and Wade & LeBron basically a toss up after them.

How would you guys rank them all individually?

1. MJ

2. Shaq

3. LBJ

4. Kobe

5. Wade

6. Pippen

 

I think we can all agree on the top 4 albeit some of you may order the top 4 differently. Either way it goes, Kobe/Shaq would still be the highest rated duo.

I would think most talented. If it was most successful then Wade/LBJ wouldn't be in the discussion without winning at least 3 in a row like the others did.

Shaq would score everytime. Right now it's not even a question IMO. LBJ and Wade aren't even in the question. Talk to me in 5 years.

Shaq was never a stellar defender. Let's not kid ourselves.

I would roll with LBJ/Wade before MJ/Pippen. I know MJ is on a whole other level mentally but he can't beat LBJ and Wade by himself. If I had to choose between those two duos. Neither is better than Kobe/Shaq. I said that already though.

 

Now if Dirk manages to beat Wade/LBJ then I am reserving the right to change to MJ/Pippen.

I disagree. Pippen was vastly overrated as a whole IMO, but the one thing that guy was unmatched at was his D. He would smother Wade. I'd take MJ/Pippen. They were the perfect compliment to one another IMO.

Maybe. I think Wade may be stronger than Pippen and we have no idea how or if MJ could handle LBJ. He has never guarded anyone like him before. Shutting down Reggie Miller, Clyde Drexler and Joe Dumars is one thing(I mean really, who did MJ ever have to guard anyways....John Starks....Dan Majerle.....Byron Scott.....Dennis Johnson.......). Now everyone is assuming MJ can guard LBJ? Not buying it.

Wouldn't it be great if you could see a game of 2on2 with MJ/Pippen vs Wade/LeBron? What a matchup in their primes.
