* I know these polls don't mean a whole lot as any of these teams can beat the other on a given day. It is however interesting now that the Top 2 teams in the region currently in Holy Cross and Cov Cath will play in first round of districts a week from today.

 

It should be a fun couple weeks of baseball. Good luck to all teams !

That is as strong and balanced top 10 as I can ever recall in N. Ky.

With #1 Holy Cross playing #2 Cov Cath and #4 Ryle playing #8 Conner in the first round of the districts, two very good teams are not going to make it to the regional tournament. That makes it a very wide open 9th region Championship!!

Why in the world would a #1 play a #2 in the first round of Districts? Shouldn't #1 play #4 and then #2 play #3?

The district seedings are different then the weekly poll rankings. Does anyone have all the district parings and the dates, times and places they will be played? It would be nice if they were posted.

With regard to the poll, not sure what the basis would have been to elevate Boone over Ryle when Ryle just got done beating them last week.

 

Beechwood deserves to be higher.

 

Ultimately, it doesn't really matter. It'll all get sorted out for real in the next week or two.

What day is the championship scheduled for? That should be a good game also.

35th Championship would be Thursday (5/26) at Meinken.

Geez, you're right. I wasn't paying attention. Didn't realize until now he was referring to the poll and not the actual seedings. Sorry bout that.
