Can't comment on the game Saturday but did watch both teams Friday. Beechwood's general rowdiness and demeanor stood out in a game that was well out of hand, but I'm not knocking them for that if they choose to do that throughout the game. They also were stealing in 1st and 3rd situations once ahead by 10 plus runs... which at that point I think many would assume to be station to station. Just observations that caught my attention that could be seen as lacking a little class. No clue who was in the wrong Saturday.

Parents are getting OVER involved, let the kids play...root 'em on don't egg 'em on. It seems the parents are creating rivalries, not the kids

One of the better posts I've seen. I've been told most of these kids are good friends and often play on the same teams in the summer or in showcases and allstar games.

When it comes to class I don't care but when a well respected coach has the nerve to stare down a 17 year old third baseman its crazy....Were all forgetting what a coaches job is. It is to build character and then worry about whens and when an 35 year coach does that I loose all respect for him.

So any stats on the game? Who played good for each team?

Ask any of the former HCHS Players about Coach Whitaker. They love him and they learn about life while playing for him. It's not always fair, it's not always easy, but they do learn. He builds character in his players. The only ones who do not like him are the ones who lose to him on a regular basis. I have had 2 sons play for him and they would fight for him, run through a wall for him, anything he needed. He demands respect, he gets respect and he instills respect.

Maybe we can put Whitaker, Myerhoff and Krumpelbeck in a ring together and let them go at it no holds barred!! There's 3 who don't particularly care for each other. We're not getting much baseball this year so we might as well have some entertainment.

Since we can't seem to get much on the game except a peeing contest about which team has the least class, I think we'll send this thread to the dugout.
