It's very classy to call time, go talk to your pitcher and stare down your 17 year old third baseman for 5 minutes. There have been plenty of people who talk about years past when an opposing player hit a home run and he was plunked the next at bat. And it's also class when in '06 BW beat HC down in Cynthiana in same tourney and Whitaker was supposed to hand out trophies but instead jumped on his motorcycle and left the field before postgame ceremonies. I guess that's class where you come from.

You are living in a fantasy world. Where were you sitting? The kids sitting behind the plate area were calling BW players by name and saying stuff that is uncalled for at any level of youth sports. I can not believe "your umpire" did not say something to them. It is all good with me. If you want to be part of that go ahead. I have heard from people around the state how terrible it is to play there, now I know. I would tell you my exact feelings on the situation as I see it, but I can't do that on here. The Breds fans see it their way and the rest of the state sees it a different way.

I guess we'll see in the last 3 weeks when they play Cov Cath, Boone, NCC, Ryle. And not judge them by Dayton, Holmes, Bellevue, Villa Madonna, St. Henry, WV, and Newport.

 

Once again, if you only knew what you were talking about. Check the schedule Walrus. I know you hate BW. Apparently because you could never beat them I guess. They have not played Dayton, Holmes, Villa or St. Henry yet.

 

Since you do not know I will tell. Ashland at the time was #1 in the 16th region and East Carter was #2. I am not sure where they are now, but I am pretty sure they are at least close to that. they are very solid ball teams.

If you knew anything about Harrison County baseball you would know that all the fans sit on the hill. I have played against Beechwood several times and not once have I believed that they were a classy program. How many state titles does beechwood have? How many times has Coach Meyerhoff been the coach of the year or national coach of the year? For this program to be so unclassy it has more wins, state titles and gets more respect from people across the state then 90% of other high schools in Kentucky.

All he did was ask the umpire to control the fans behind home plate and the unpire refuse to do anything about it. The only time they stop saying rude thing was when he smoke the runner trying to steal .

Wow! State titles, number of wins and awards have nothing to do with Class. I can also tell you your program is not respected across the state. Like I said earlier, I have heard across the state how bad it is to play there. That is not respect. I understand what they are talking about now. I will say I met a few very nice people in my 2 days there.

 

If all of the fans sit on the hill, I suppose the folks sitting in those bleachers on the first base side were just there to see a ball game and yell at players??? I wonder what school they cheer for if they are not fans of HC.

The players can't control what goes on outside the fence, that's the umpires job. The umpires were deffinitely not hometown umpires, because they weren't giving the HC pitchers anything either. It seems to me like you can't accept a loss. Harrison county is one of the most respected teams in the state whether you would like to believe it or not.

The umpire was asked several time to control the fans outside the fence and the harrison county players but instead of fixing the problems the ump laughed at the rude things being said by the harrison fans. As far as throwing at the kid goes I saw the beechwood catcher to continue to set up inside after being talked to by the ump which proves they were just trying to throw inside to the batter. It was late in the game the pitcher could have been tired and missed the spot by a little right? Guess it was Harrison county just being Harrison County a classless team, coach and fans!

The first base coach said, "if it makes you all feel any better, you just beat a JV pitcher." The head coach of Beechwood went and talked to the catcher before Shane Fowler of Harrison batted, the first two pitches he saw were high and tight. I see that as he was told to throw at the batter. Also, Harrison County is a team with a lot of class, as Coach Whitaker would never let that happen.
