April 19, 201115 yr The lightning and thunder was relentless last night. Had our bedroom windows open and at about 1 am there must have been burst of lightning right outside our window. It got the adrenaline rushing and after that there wasn't much sleeping because it didn't stop until about 4:30 this morning. Also had some dime to nickel sized hail at about 2:30 this morning.
April 19, 201115 yr Hey nWo - not sure if information like this is tracked from year to year or is even trackable at all, but this seems like one of the windiest March-April periods in NKY that I can recall in awhile. You're always going to have some windy days around here this time of year, but it's by and large every single day. Quite a few days the wind has been just crazy. I am just imagining this or is it true?

April 19, 201115 yr Author Just checked the TOR:CON scale from The Weather Channel. Western Kentucky and Northern Kentucky are a 6. The rest of Kentucky is a 4. This is in a 50 mile radius. What is the TOR:CON Index? April 19, 201115 yr We got some serious precip. up this way in the last 12 hours or so. Check out the picture of this house located on Old KY 17 (not too far from Scott and Simon Kenton high schools): The family woke up this morning and their house was completely surrounded by water. Talk about an "oh crap" moment...
