Voice of Reason
Hickey is down to 4 teams: South Carolina/LSU/Dayton/Butler. Butler hasn't offered yet but with Shelvin Mack testing the NBA waters an opening could happen. Hickey is an excellent fit at Butler with their emphasis on defense and fast paced offense. PurplePride92
Anthony Hickey sighting on ESPN Insider today...... Hickey looking southward 2:50PM ET Butler Bulldogs Top Email Comments Update: Since we wrote Anthony Hickey, the guard has seen an increased media interest in his recruitment. For one, we now know Hickey prides himself on his defense. We have recently learned that the guard is a fan of Trent Johnson's program and lists LSU as his leader. ******* Anthony Hickey may not be listed among ESPNU's top 100 recruits but the Kentucky Mr. Basketball makes smart decisions with the ball and has a plethora of BCS conference schools (Dayton, South Carolina and LSU) clamoring for a commitment. Butler is on the list Hickey is considering but there is a complex sidebar to this rumor: Butler is interested in the 5-foot-11 guard but has yet to offer a scholarship. However, now that Shelvin Mack has entered the draft (but not hired an agent), expect the Bulldogs to extend an offer to Hickey -- especially if Mack remains in the draft. Of the finalists, Butler was the only school not to offer. And similar to the Bulldogs' recruitment of Mack, Brad Stevens and Company are dipping back into their traditional power recruiting base (Kentucky, Indiana) for under-the-radar players that fit the Butler
