February 28, 201115 yr Author A new tornado watch has been issued for All of Western Kentucky and most of Central Kentucky until 10 am est this morning. This is a very dangerous situation. A wind gauge in Southern Indiana, near Huntington, about 30 minutes ago recorded a wind gust of 99 mph!

February 28, 201115 yr Author There are about 7,200 KU customers without power right now. This is in an area from Louisville to Lexington down to around London. I know there was very heavy rain and some hail in the Berea area.

That's because there was a Tornado Warning for that area just north of Frankfort at that time. There was a funnel cloud spotted in Jefferson County near Louisville this morning. Also the NWS will be going to Garrard and Lincoln Counties to look at the damage there. I know there was also a tornado warning for that area around 7 am.

I'm only glad to do it. What started out as a hobby for me has turned into a passion. For instance I could see the rotation in storm that formed in the Garrard and Lincoln County areas.
