South Laurel has Jeff Ledford coming back and he is excellent. This kid is very smart and while he is smallish for a linebacker, he just continues to make plays. A very cerebral player.

 

North Laurel has Ryan Brandenburg coming back after a stellar season as a sophomore. He is big, mean and loves to hit. Was all district and could get some votes for all state with the kind of season he had.

 

Williamsburg has Aaron Root. 20+ tackles per game? Nuf said.

Benson from Dixie should be one of the best LB's in NKY next season !Didn't start the first two games this year , but still lead the team in tackles as a Soph. ! :thumb: Also Eastham , Vu , and Wulfeck should be very good next season for Dixie ! :thumb: This group of young LB's will have size , speed ,and are very hard hitters ! :ylsuper:

Stephen Benson will not only be one of the best in NKY, but in the state next season IMO. :thumb:

How about some stats and size and maybe maxes for some of these players?

 

Aaron Root for Williamsburg is 5'9", 185 lbs., benches 300, squats well over 400 ( last i heard was 450), and runs a 4.7 40. He never came off the feild this year as he played center, was longsnapper, and was on all special teams.

I read something in the paper this week where Coach Abbott said of him that 'he has a nose for the finding the football and is always in a pretty bad mood when he gets there.' With 2 more years to play, he could be another great LB from North Laurel.
