The Colonels are once again playing in the prestigious Louisville Invitational Tournament the last weekend in April against power house Lexington Christian Academy, Louisville Seneca and Lexington Bryan Station.

 

Note the games on Saturday May 7th at CovCath. To my knowledge it is the first time that Lexington Catholic has come North to play a NKy team.

 

Huge District games against Cov Holmes (and no one should take Holmes too lightly this season with Courtney on the mound) on April 11 @ CovCath, Beechwood on April 20th @ Beechwood and May 04th against Cov Holy Cross @ CovCath.

Dixie Heights on the schedule 3 times? NICE

Watched Shumate throw this past weekend and I think that he will be the #1 pitcher this year. WoW has he been working out, he looks great.

Seems to be some confusion. HHS schedule has CCH showing as being on 4.13.

CCH website shows 4.13 as Highlands. Campbell County is 4.15 - not 4.13.

I seem to remember Courtney throwing a lot early in last season and was dominant but started to falter a little more towards the end of the season when his inning's built up. Cov Cath has them early which will make it a very tough game IMO.

If indeed the young man had gone to a Beechwood Ryle, Conner, Cov Holy Cross or even CovCath, his name would be posted quite a bit more as one of the better pitchers in the Ninth Region. Pitching for Holmes the last three years, he hasn't had much help from his teammates behind him (except for Jensen his catcher) in either the field or at the plate.

 

I totally agree hja1224 Tommy is one tough pitcher, who should be taken quite seriously by anyone who he pitches against!

Nice cover up but I dont buy it. TOG is funnin with the Birds faithful as a way to show the ultimate disrespect for a team by omitting them from the Blue Boys schedule. The sad thing is Highlands will not be up to athletic standards and will not fair well in this game this yr. Pray for rain parents of HHS players that day, it will be ugly. TOG, I wish I could say "you just wait", sorta like you do with Football when you talk about all these upcoming superstars, but I just cant. So with this all said maybe it is not a good thing for CovCath to even play HHS at this point in time. Because there are no District implications one must wonder why CovCath would even schedule them. LOL.

You just don't get it do you SB, I consider Jeremy a friend and an outstanding baseball coach and hopefully with some kids and their parents who truly love baseball, he will succeed at HHS.

 

He would tell you last year that when I saw him at the Cov Holy Cross vs. Beechwood 35th District game I was very excited for him and HHS for upsetting NCC and told him to make sure his kids understood that they weren't in the Region yet as HHS still had Bellevue to play, but the kids didn't listen and so they got beat.

 

He is a great guy and I only wish him the best!
