You know I've been all over the state and Russell is really a nice sports complex, I can remember a few years ago, I think it was 1999 Newport Wildcats went down there and handed it to them, and a matter of fact I love the Russell Red Devils they have a great football tradition. And because that year I won the 'split the pot", $484.00. But I really wish you guys luck!!!

That next year in 2000 we came up there and put it on Newport 55-14 and that was the last time we played in regular season before they switched districts.

Yes, I remember. But mainly I was thinking of your guys beautiful stadium and the winning tradition you all have there. Will that make a difference in the game Friday Night? With the 21 game winning streak??

Well I Certainly hope so this is what the boys have been waiting on all year long every since last year when they lost to Belfry. On a side note I never get lucky to win the split the pot:cry: But one game this year sombody one around 900 bucks or so. We have the awsome Devil on the scoreboard now that shoots fire out when we score. That wasnt there when u all made your last trip down its real cool.

What will matter is that Russell is the better team.

Dang, you guys talk your team up..

Our teams O.K. ..

but its even better, when you talk them up, an we knock them down ;)

If I didn't think it was the truth I wouldn't say it.

You Belfry guys do a little talking yourselves.

Today is the day of greatness. Picking up tickets, eating chili and grilled cheese, watching the Devils BEAT the Pirates and then watching people react Like OH MY GOSH, That Russell team was highly underated. They are the best thing going. And for us who know to say- Yea, We knew.

Anyway, hope everyone has a great trip in and enjoy yhe food at the middle school from 5-7. Good game tonight Pirates. Just getting ready.

Nobody is taking Russell lightly or underrating them. We know they are good and just as capable of winning this game as the Pirates. Win or lose, credit will be given where credit is due by most of the Pirate and Red Devil fans alike. This is what I have come to expect from these two quality programs.

I still remember how gracious the comments were from the Russell fans following last years game. If Belfry happens to lose tonight, I believe you will see the same grace and good sportsmanship from the Belfry posters on here.

And no matter who wins, I think we will all be pulling for the victor next week in the championship game. :thumb:

I'm sure you'll see the same graciousness from Russell fans again win or lose...We would expect that Belfry's great fans will respond as you've stated...I think we all are expecting another hard fought game that is full of mutual respect...We're to the point now where all we can do is wait...Have a great trip here, enjoy the game & hospitality, and have a safe trip back to Pond Creek...

May the best team win!!!
