I know Daniels has some interest from some bigger schools, but I haven't heard of any details about possible committment or signing.

I thought this was probably the best overall game this year. They moved the ball and played together better than they have all year. Best ball movement I've seen in the last four years. Daniels had a super offensive game. Vinny really played well on defense and rebounding. I thought the Stenzel brothers did a super job getting the ball up the floor against a good press , made some great passes and they both played great defense. Purvis hit some big baskets. I thought the subs came in and played well. Just a good overall effort by all. I hope that teamwork continues.

Senior guard Jaylen Daniel had 33 points and six steals, and host Clark County routed Warren Central 75-59 in an MLK Classic matchup of top-10 teams. No. 7 Clark County (13-4) seized control with a 46-23 run over the second and third quarters. Senior forward George Fant had 22 points for No. 6 Warren Central (10-6).

The George Rogers Clark senior scored 33 points to lead George Rogers Clark to a 75-59 victory over Warren Central Saturday in the Martin Luther King Classic at Norton Gymnasium.Following the Cards’ win over the Dragons, Daniel was named the Winchester Sun Player of the Game and sparked the Cards in the absence of senior scoring leader and football standout Corey Rogers, who made an official recruiting visit to Tennessee-Martin this weekend.

 

The Cards held a 16-12 advantage at the end of the first quarter, outscored the guests 26-12 to put the game away. Clark increased the margin to 58-39 by the end of the third quarter.

About what I expected. Simply too many weapons for Warren Central to contend with.

If the Cards don't win the Region and go far into the Sweet 16 they should fire Humphrey right on the spot! I know several players on the team that hates that man. After these Seniors leave he will leave regardless . Daniels is the best player on the team and will go to a much bigger college that Stenzel and Zollo. I hear Ohio State is watching Daniels closely and I think it's a shame that his Coach makes him come off the bench now just to embarrass him.

I hope you're right and I do wish the best for Daniels and I wish the best for all the Clark Co boys. It takes all type of players to be successful, ball handlers, passers , scorers ,rebounders, defensive players. We sometimes overlook at the things that make things happen and work for a team and only look at who scores the most points. In the last three games ,Clark Co has had 3 different leading scorers. Clark has four boys capable of scoring 20 or more points a game. I don't think I would rate one over another without looking at all phases of the game. Don't base everything on points. Thats what they do at the YMCA.

Maybe coach is trying to send a message.

Cal brings Terrence Jones off the bench and he scores 35 points.

Humphrey brings Daniels off the bench and he scores 33.

Scoring isn't everything but seems to me like the bench is still a pretty powerful motivator.

He has responded very dramatically since he started coming off the bench since the Beachball Classic. His scoring is up, his rebounding is up, and his motivation is up. I have long said that he is the key to the season for Clark Co.

Jaylan certainly has the talent and athleticism. He is fun to watch and the the crowd gets excited when he is on a breakaway anticipating the dunk.

Humphrey = Great coach? Not sure I would put him in that catagory. He flat out choked away two straight regional titles. This team has state championship caliber talent that any truely great coach would love to have at their disposal.
