January 5, 201115 yr Who in the world voted for Benito Santiago? How did Marquis Grisson get 4 votes? I don't know that Benny Santiago is necessarily HOF material, I always liked him. I think his fault was probably hanging around in the league for too long. National league rookie of the year, 5 time allstar, 3 time golden glove winner... I think, besides having one more World Series championship ring, that there's nothing more to be argued other than the fact that perhaps Alomar was a little better known. (Largely due to the fact that he played for seven teams and had both National League and American League exposure, whereas Larkin was a career Red.)
