January 3, 201115 yr Terrible: Injuries to Romo and Jermichael Finley killed me. Made the playoffs at 6-7 but shouldn't have when you consider the guy I tied with for the final slot beat me in both H2H meetings.
January 3, 201115 yr I was lucky to get as far as I did. Here's how I started the season: Starters: QB Kolb RB Rice RB Cadilac WR Moss WR Austin TE Clark K Akers. We played individual D players who also took a beating. The only O players I played yesterday that I had in the 1st week: Rice, Austin and Akers
January 3, 201115 yr Wow that's pretty solid. Was it a lot of the same players? Not really. I did make the same move in both money leagues. In both of those leagues I took Roethlisberger as my starting quarterback but I did it about round 6 and tried to pick a fill-in a couple of rounds later. I got really lucky in the money league that uses team QBs. I took the Eagles QBs with the intention of only using them the first 5 weeks but then Vick exploded and really carried me to the title. He put up 72 points in the 2nd round of the playoffs when I was playing the #1 seed. Here's my 2 rosters in the money leagues since you know who I had in Dolamite's league: Team QBs Eagles, Steelers RBs Ahmad Bradshaw, Michael Turner, Jonathan Stewart, Fred Jackson, Ryan Matthews, Jason Snelling WRs Roddy White, Brandon Marshall, Santonio Holmes, Nate Burleson, Robert Meacham TEs Brent Celek Ks Sebastian Janikowski, Nick Folk DST Tampa Bay, Miami This was a 12 team league that started 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DST and a flex player. It gave points per reception and for every 10 yards rushing or receiving. The other league started 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE 1 K and 1 DST with no points per reception and points of every 50 yards rushing or receiving and my roster was: QBs Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger RBs Matt Forte, Adrian Peterson, Darrin McFadden, Shonn Greene WRs Anquan Boldin, Calvin Johnson, Stevie Johnson, Eddie Royal TEs Jacob Tamme/Dallas Clark, John Carlson I was able to pick up Tamme when Clark went down. K Rob Bironas, Sebastian Janikowski Def Pittsburgh, Giants Both teams ended up 11-5 playoffs included. I really thought I had the best team in the league with the 2nd team but not the 1st team. I would have had a better record in the second league as I led it in scoring but I gave up more points than anyone as well. I really just got lucky in the playoffs in the first money league and Dolamite's BGP League with my playoff matchups/player performances. I finished 10-5 overall in Dolamite's league.
January 4, 201115 yr Big Money TD: Currently tied for third, could win $100 Big Money PPR: Just lost in the finals after 9 striaght wins, $500 50 team league: Currently #9 in the conference, but I win my $15 back if I don't make the playoffs for being the highest scoring non playoff team Medium $ league: Didn't make the playoffs despite having both Vick and Rodgers. Fantasy Guru Challenge: This weekly salary cap league awards SB tickets, travel and lodging. Currently 10th out of a few thousand, down by about 60 points. Actually was the overall total points leader twice during the season. BGP: Non playoff Update Ended up finishing third in the TD league winning $100 50 team league, finished 9th in the conference, losing out on a tie breaker for a spot in the tournament, on to the losers bracket. I did win $15 for scoring the most points of any non qualifying team Fantasy Guru Challenge, finished 17th.
