With the way GRC has been playing lately in KY, I'll go with the Boys & Girls NY winning by double digits.

Have they being playing bad or just been playing pretty good teams. Lexington has 5-6 pretty good teams.

Those teams are no where near the level of Boys and Girls, NY.

I'd love to see the Cards win but I think the NY squad might be atleast 10 points better.

You are being nice again Walter. GRC will have to play the best they have played all season to beat The Boys & Girls team. They are very quick and athletic. They have Michael Taylor 6'4 committed to Rutgars. Malik Nichols 6'6 committed to Hofstra. Antione Slaughter 5'6 Led team with 9.5 assist per game and 4 steals per game. College Choice Undecided. Jefflandd Newson 6'5 Ranked #2 in NYC Class of 2012. One of the Top Juniors in the Country. Being Recruited by High and Mid Majors

They are coached by a female:

Head Coach: Ruth Lovelace

Bio: Ruth Lovelace was a standout girl's varsity basketball team player at Boys and Girls and played at the college basketball at Seton Hall. In her 14 seasons, she compiled a 349-102 record Coach Love's 2007-2008 team was ranked nationally by ESPN Elite 25 and also ESPN Documented the season.

Team Accomplishments:

- PSAL AA 2009-2010 Boys Boro and City Champions.

- Ranked # 19 in 2010-11 USA Today Preseason Rankings and # 18 ESPN RISE Fab 50

I would venture to guess that Boys and Girls is the only team in the top 100 in the nation to be coached by a female.

Best of luck to the Cards. Represent the 10th Region well!

GRC will take on nationally ranked Boys & Girls team of NY Tuesday at 8:45

Here is a link where you can listen to the game:

All first round games are on the web. Then only the winners bracket will be aired to my knowledge.

Your thoughts and predictions.

In the past they have aired every game, even the losers bracket games. Not sure about this year though.

Also I predict Miller Grove out of Georgia will win this tourney. Will probably be wrong, but that is my prediction.

George Rogers Clark boys basketball coach Scott Humphrey won’t be paying much attention to the schedule when the Cardinals compete in the 30th Beach Ball Classic beginning Tuesday in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

“I looked at it (the schedule) and it overwhelmed me a little bit,” he said. “I know we play the first night (Tuesday) at 8:45 p.m. We’ll see how we do and where we go from there.”

Clark (7-2) will open the tournament against Boys and Girls High School based in Brooklyn, N.Y. The squad features Rutgers signee Mike Taylor.

Humphrey said his team’s goal next week is “no different” than any other tournament and his team wants to make a strong showing against some of the best teams in the nation.

“The competition is obviously an incredible collection of teams, but there won’t be any nights on the court where we don’t expect to win,” Humphrey said. “We want to win, but more importantly, make sure we come out of this a better basketball team. I think we will, because I feel like the competition will force us to do some things a little bit out of our comfort zone.”

Best of luck to Coach Humphrey and the Cards, but it would be a huge upset if they win their first game.

The website is very good and informational about each team.
