The Courier-Journal has named Allen County-Scottsville's Brad Hood as Coach of the Year based on voting by coaches. He received 15 of 165 votes, followed by Hazard's Mark Dixon and Mayfield's Joe Morris (13 each), Harlan County's Tom Larkey, Belfry's Philip Haywood, Trinity's Bob Beatty and Ryle's Bryson Warner (11 each).

Congrats to Brad. Very deserving of the award!

Congratulations Coach Hood, I believe he was deserving of it as well.

Congratulations. Looks like some pretty tight voting. Am I correct that only 2 votes seperate? Very tight race - but no question that he is well -deserving.

The turnaround at Allen County-Scottsville under Hood has been staggering, and this season was like a cherry on top. He had an outstanding team this year, but they had an outstanding coach as well. Congrats to Coach Hood.
