Lloyd travels to Holmes Thurs night for another DII matchup.

 

Holmes comes in 3-1 after a 21 point win over Newport.

 

Lloyd comes in 4-2 after a 22 point loss to Walton-Verona.

 

Thoughts?

I think Holmes will have their way and wear down the Juggs with that punishing press. Hayes will have a huge game. Really like Cheatum, but will be on an island in this one.

The Cheatum v Rice matchup is very intriguing to me.

 

I think this is a game where Rice could really show he belongs in the top 10 players.

 

I've heard nothing but good things about Donnie. I agree though that outside of him, Lloyd likely struggles against the Holmes pressure at both ends of the floor.

 

As for a score, I'd be surprised if it was within 15.

Unless Cheatum has gotten physical over the summer he will play very soft. He uses his size to his advantage on the outside but doesn't like to bang much. Rice and Knox could have their way with the Lloyd bigs.
