I just learned Don Stahl, a longtime WFTM radio sports announcer who called St. Patrick and Morehead games has passed away. I used to work with Don at a local utility and loved talking sports with him. He had some of the best stories that could have been told. Don, you was a true friend that made made work days go much faster. God Bless!!!!!!

Great announcer and a good friend.

Did he play a lot of softball in his time?

A "great" contributor to local and state-wide basketball. He seemed to always look at the game with deeper insight than other announcers and appreciated the efforts made by small schools as competitors. Rest in peace and condolences to his family.

The Stahl name is a Maysville name. How long did he broadcast & when did he stop?
