Ref's seemed to call the slightest touch foul on drives and bumping down low. Zollo's size seemed to be working against him in the first quarter after picking up two quick fouls. (followed by the 3rd shortly after).

Did anyone catch why the Technical Foul was called on #4 from M/C? It didn't seem like anything really happened to warrant it.

Agree, Zollo never had the chance to get in the flow of the game because of fouls.

Didn't see anything when the technical was called but he talked to the refs after a lot of calls so it may have been he had been warned and continued.

This is the reason I was told for the T on Prewitt.

This is a tad off thread, but what is the official name of the school....George Rogers Clark H.S., Clark County H.S., or something else? Also, why is the school known by two names? Thanks.

 Good question, I have asked that for 20 years now. The name of the high school is George Rogers Clark High. When we moved here, people outside of Clark Co called it " Clark Co" Local folks call it GRC. With the help of the internet, now many know it as both. If you go to the scoreboard, you must look under George Rogers Clark to find the scores. If you look in the KHSAA state tourney book, or the Lexington Hearld scores, it has us listed as Clark Co. On our uniforms we have Clark Co...I know confusing.... To my knowledge the new high school will still be GRC and we will still also be know to others as Clark Co.

Doesn't Handshoe live in Clark?

Unless he's moved in the past few years, then yes I believe he does. He went through the CC school system up until high school I believe.

Yes, he started attending MC his Freshman year.

I know his Dad and grandparents used to live here in Winchester. His dad was a star for GRC in the late 80's.

Anybody know why he went to Montgomery?

Believe he would have been in this loaded senior class.

Anybody know why he went to Montgomery?

From my understanding... he wasn't getting playing time on the middle school team(or whatever last team that he played on before transferring) due to the depth they had. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is why. He just was blocked by other talent.

He is a junior.

Isn't it against BGP rules to talk about where a kid lives? Maybe not since Gold is participating and is a mod, but I thought it was.

Hard to cut through all the moving screens MC had last night. The refs finally called it once.

Article from the Winchester Sun:

George Rogers Clark came away with a sweep of Montgomery County in front of a packed house Friday night at Norton Gymnasium.Robbie Stenzel paved the way for Clark with 24 points and connected on six shots from long range and had 5 assists.

Clark coach Scott Humphrey was pleased with Stenzel’s performance, especially on the defensive end. Stenzel limited Montgomery County sharpshooter Omar Prewitt to just two field goals and seven points. The Indians scored just six points in the first half and connected on five field goals, with two of those coming from long range.

I would agree that MC did set some moving screens, but as stated in a previous post, when your players are being held on cuts you have to find a way to get them off. The holds and illegal screens were not called enough on both ends. Stenzel's defense was still impressive, it must be a great luxuary to be able to give great pressure on the perimeter knowing you have 3 6'7's behind you for held side D.

Plato here is the rule you are refering to. See the

"All caps part" " in a recuiting context" and this part was not part of any of the post. Handshoe went on his own, because of all the talent GRC had is what was posted. If you read post 24 and 25, just answering question to why he went to Montgomery and the answers were not in rule violation #4.

Here is the rule:

4. No recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No comments about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from IN A RECUITING CONTEXT.. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations. Feel free to contact www.khsaa.org to report such violations, but do not discuss violations here.

I guess it's not enough to just be 30 points better than just about everyone in the region, if you have to thrfow cheap shots at a kid who plays his butt off.

Needless to say, it's disappointing.
