December 8, 201015 yr http://andy-benoit.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/26316245 I cannot give you the response I suspect you would most like to hear. I'm afraid you are stuck with me in my present role, and a general manager brought in from the outside is not in the plans. I accept that your criticism is sincere, and I wish you well personally. We are working as hard as we can to return to and surpass the contending status we had as recently as last season." Sincerely, Mike Brown President
December 8, 201015 yr Oh, well ok then I guess that makes every thing better. Thanks Mikey, glad to see you're still "working hard".
December 8, 201015 yr Reason #1 and basically the only reason why I gave up on the Bengals and moved to rooting for the Steelers. The Bengals will NEVER be a consistent winning franchise as long as Mike Brown is the leader of it. I hope Marvin leaves Cincinnati and wins a Super Bowl in the first two years just to show how inept Mike Brown really is.

Marvin Lewis is not in a good situation, but Mike Brown is not the reason that Lewis lacks game management skills. He'll never win a Super Bowl as a head coach.
December 8, 201015 yr I've read that about 20-30 times over the past day and a half, and honestly, it makes me sick that I continue to cheer for them. I really wish I could just give up the Bengals for good, but like the movie Mean Girls, they're a guilty pleasure of mine.
December 8, 201015 yr Marvin Lewis is not in a good situation, but Mike Brown is not the reason that Lewis lacks game management skills. He'll never win a Super Bowl as a head coach. Didn't say he would. Just saying it would be great to see it happen and show how bad Mike Brown runs a franchise. Heard Artrell Hawkins talking on 1530 about the difference between how the Bengals are run and how the Patriots are run. He said, as long as there are no changes at the top, the Bengals won't be changing as far as their success.

But now, it feels so good to just sit back and not care about Mike Brown's Cincinnati Bengals.

December 8, 201015 yr Author I guess your title got everyone's attention. http://www.bluegrasspreps.com/showthread.php?213216-Who-Said-it... C'mon HT, you should have been more dramatic with your title. We have a bunch of "Who said it" threads.
December 8, 201015 yr C'mon HT, you should have been more dramatic with your title. We have a bunch of "Who said it" threads. I know I screwed up. I was so mad when I was reading it I couldn't think straight.
December 8, 201015 yr This is a general Bengals question. But I seem to remember someone saying in a thread that the Bengals have no scouting department...or something to that effect.
December 8, 201015 yr This is a general Bengals question. But I seem to remember someone saying in a thread that the Bengals have no scouting department...or something to that effect. Their scouting department consists of 5 people. At least a few of them are related to ole Mikey himself.
December 8, 201015 yr Is anyone interested in starting a letter, not sure how you would do that. But a letter saying that: Dear Mike, We are Bengals fans and you're stuck with us, and until you make significant changes and stop thinking you know jack about football I'm not attending another Bengals game, or buying any other Bengals merchandise. We hope you take this letter as serious as we do. Sincerely, Bengals Fans(not Mike Brown) I'm thinking of making this a facebook group when I get home.

You'd get a lot of support on an anti-Mikey facebook group. I swore off attending Bengals' games in 2000 until Mike Brown was not involved in football operations. I am now to the point of rarely even watching them and would be embarrassed to buy or wear their merchandise. I think a massive groundswell vs. Mikey would make us feel better but he could care less. We're stuck until "death do us part". He is living high on the hog in his little fantasy world of being a great football mind like his daddy (who truly was a GREAT football man). Sad situation for Bengal fans.
