Trinity and X fans always say that they are playing for the state championship. So what does it matter which round they play?

 

Who said it did? I like the two best teams to play for the title. That said, we get to keep the money, instead of the state, and more often than not, if we're lucky enough to get to the title game, we'll have an enjoyable ride home.

Yes, but that doesn't happen due to the SEC championship...much like the T and X district championship, it will eliminate a shot for one in the title. Think of the new district as the SEC championship, there are several years where many could argue that was the National Championship.

Yes, but not versus another SEC team. In MOST years you won't have 2 SEC teams ranked 1 and 2 (which was my point) due to the SEC championship game and the bias that 2 teams from the same conference shouldn't play for a BCS title, playing for a national title. In several years you could argue the National Championship was played in Georgia as will be the case for the side of the bracket that X and T will be on, but that gets us way off topic! :thumb:

This is what I was saying as well. Two teams within the same conference will not play for the national title. You must win you're division in order to do that. It would be different if it were seeded. Trinity would be opposite of X every year, more than likely. I don't hear the SEC complaining, I don't hear the city of Cincinnati complaining. Consider the GCL, they may produce the 3 best teams in the state on a yearly basis. But to be the best in the state, you have to be the best in the city/district/region/conference.
