First of all we are heading to our 4th straight bowl game. I can remember when we were NOT going to our 4th straight bowl game. It hasnt been that long ago either.

We play in the toughest confrence hands down and problay the toughest division in college football. FLA

Some of you act so spoiled, it isnt like we have been to many bowls anyway, be happy we get to go. Just think back to the Curry days.

I don't agree with the "a bowl is a bowl" mantra. That used to be true prior to there being 50% of the teams making a bowl. 6-6 qualifies for a bowl. I don't think most would call that a "bowl-worthy" season especially when 4 of the wins (I think) were non-conference in a year when the SEC East wasn't very strong.

 

No one is expecting a BCS bowl. What we are expecting it to beat UT and UGA and maybe UF in down years like they all had this year.

 

If you want to accept mediocrity have at it. I'm not being greedy. I'm just looking for improvement. Didn't see it.

I believe the West was tougher this year with everybody being ranked except Ole Miss. But is the past this was true.

 

UK needs to recruit bigger lineman, thats the key. And I mentioned this in another post, UK was in every game except one (Gators).

The status quo isn't good enough for any program...They've now reached the low tiered bowls 4 straight seasons...It's only natural for fans of any team to want to move forward, and not stay stagnet. UK fans want the team to take the next step. They've proven they can be an annual bowl team, now it's time to move up the bowl world.

To me there is no difference in the Liberty Bowl, Music City Bowl, Chic Fillet Bowl. Neither winner will win the National Championship. now yes ther eis a difference in Rose Bowl and Papa Johns Bowl, but still it is a BOWL.

To be clear, I am agreeing with you.

Ky is getting better quality players than they were a couple of years ago. Thats what has to improve. More 4 star players. The defense lost a lot from last year and was pitiful most of this year. With better recruiting, you won't have the years that are up one year and way down the next when they graduate. There are only a certain number of 4 and 5 star players out there and most of them will go to the bigger football schools. I don't know how you change that but if it does change it will not be overnight like some fans want it to.

If your not growing your dying. I guess it all depends on where you want to see the go. If 6-6 is good enough for you (with 3 of those wins against crap teams) and you are pleased with being mediocre then I guess UK has arrived. As for me I would like to see them actually contend for the east title.

I can't agree with you more Crazy Horse. Just a short 5 years ago BBN wanted to run Rich Brooks out of town and now we go to our 4th straight bowl game and fans are still not happy. So what can you do?

If you look at the big football schools in all the conferences they all have 3 crap teams as you call them on their schedules.

I agree Clyde, 6-6 to me anyway is a losing season. Yes I can read and know that .500 is even but my way of thinking is that you actually have to win more than you lose to have a winning season. 6-6 qualifying for a bowl imo is a joke. This is all about $$$ and all of these bowls popping up every year are just that.

Should anyone consider this season a good one and post season play is deserved then o.k., I just don't and will not slam anyone for that. To me if mediocrity is accepted and rewarded then that is all you will ever get, a middle of the pack conference team. So if medocrity is what some are satisfied with then go to he "what's that" bowl and party on.
