Is this Jim McKee's teenage dream (apologies to Katy Perry)?

Or work harder, right? It's all about coaching and work ethic. I forgot.

Now you're gettin' it! :thumb:

Does Highlands and Cov Cath fit in this also.

OK, who is Katy Perry? I'm in my mid to late 50s.

I'm sure there are better pics out there.

Any thought on the impact of the UK basketball games that have been played the last 3 Friday nights? When UK basketball is playing the crowd seem down at HS football - at least in the Bluegrass counties since so many people have season tickets. It would seem UK did not do any of the local HS any favors playing 3 Fridays in row during playoff season.

Considering those games were against a bunch of nobodies UK figured to beat by 30+, if that's the excuse for low attendance at a football game, it's an awful weak one that just further proves my contention that folks in Scott Co. (and in Ky. as a whole) just can't be bothered to support their local football teams.

Shifting the blame to UK, T, X, LexCath, LCA, etc., does nothing to solve the problems at other schools that prevent football success. It only allows fans to avoid looking in the mirror and recognizing the real problem that holds them back.

Katy, Wow. Its not a sin if you look quick and move on.

It is not rocket science either:

Develop kids at whatever age they want to start playing football; make sure they are all playing and having fun; start teaching the basics of the system in the Jr high levels; have an excellent off-season weightlifting, agility, and fine-tuning the system program; implement a system that the community will support, enjoy and that the athletes fit into, and THEN HAVE AT IT!

Tying this back to the original post of the thread. Scott county may be the most populous county with a single public high school. So it has the advantage of the undivided support from the county. There really is no excuse for not having a strong program. McKee has favored the gerrymandering and punitively strict transfer rules. The gerrymandering may ultimately lead another 'woodshed' experience. But it is also interesting that Scott is benefiting from a key transfer that would have not have been possible if Prop 2 was adopted and strictly applied. And I have no issue with transfer.

Couldn't help but check the census page -- Scott Co. has about 300 more people than Henderson Co.
