I believe he has to complete both years, much like Austin Hill and Greg Rice, in order to be eligible for D1 basketball. I could be wrong though...wouldn't be the first time. I know Pittman, Henley, and Huggins all three made it public that Elijah wanted to play for West Va and Huggins when he was done with the JUCO route.

If Pittman was a non qualifier coming out of high school then he needs to complete two years at the JUCO.

March 4, 201115 yr Author 3/3: (Florida JUCO State Tournament- Sweet 16 format) Chipola 71 St. Petersburg College 65 Pittman- 12 points, 5 rbs Chipola trailed by 9 at the half but came back to advance and meet Daytona State (Demarko Foster's team) tonight at 8 pm. Game story and quote by Pittman on getting down by 10 with 7 mins left: "We just looked at each other and said 'We've been through this before," said Chipola forward Elijah Pittman. "We just had to be stronger. It came down to toughness in the end." Chipola is now 23-5 on the season.
March 4, 201115 yr Glad to see Pittman doing so well. I really enjoyed watching this kid play ball during his high school career and the Sweet 16 when they won it all was awesome to watch. Looking forward to seeing Elijah on ESPN in the near future.

March 5, 201115 yr Author 3/4: Chipola 65 Daytona State 52 Pittman: 20 Points Elijah Pittman scored 20 points and Chipola held Daytona State to just one field goal in the final 8-plus minutes in a 65-52 win over the Falcons in the FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII Tournament semifinals Friday night. With the win, Chipola will advance to play Tallahassee Community College in today's championship for the state's lone berth in the NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament March 15-19 in Hutchinson, Kan. ......Pittman had a thunderous dunk to make it 57-48 and put away any hopes Daytona State had of coming back. Of course since the judge sentenced him around his basketball season maybe that was a mistake on my part.
