hey, whats your views on Baptism/Once saved always saved/heaven-hell/Musical Instruments in service/Lord's supper/Women preachers?

I honestly didn't realize that musical instruments was still a contentious issue in churches.

Yep, I told the Preacher in my debate..."so I get to heaven and Jesus says you get less rewards because you went to a Church that had a guitar and drums"...Its been a ten year on going debate. He says there is nowhere in the New testament where it says we can use them.

Ask him if the New Testament says that you can have a nursery in the church. If not, why do churches have them? What does it say about restrooms, kitchens, classrooms, etc?

TB&G, he has that covered, he would tell you that HIS church is the only TRUE church and HIS church doesn't have those items you mentioned, again "they are not found in the NT" Churches that do have them are in SIN and in Error. Restrooms/classrooms are in a different area, its part of a function that is a need,

Again, they have everything covered, Pews/songbooks/ceiling fans/AC/ are aides to the the service, Musical Instruments change the service in which it s a SIN. Ephesians 5:19/Colossians 3:16 Both are in the New Testament and they are almost equal. I go there to show them where is says Psalms, Hymns, Spiritial Songs are mentioned. I asked them the difference of the three types of Songs, now with Psalms we get songs that come from the order of the OLd Testament, Psalms 32/149/150 top of my head, so you have the NT authority in these two verses.

 

Hymns are songs of highest praise to God, Spirtial Songs are songs of the Christian experince (Amazing Grace) Thats what I have showed them for over 10 years and they ignore the fact that God told David to play these instruments of Harps, Lyres etc.

 

They say its ok to have aides to the worship, but you are not allowed to change it with the Instruments. Their Bottom__________. And I almost weekly bring this up on their show.

There is nowhere in the New Testament permitting the use of microwave ovens, either - does that make it taboo?
