October 28, 201015 yr I saw a similar article RM. But I think the article is probably blown up based on what I saw in the vid. Could have been. Here's something from the C-J. Apparently there's a new video linked, but I got Barricuda'd, so I don't have any idea what the video is about.
October 28, 201015 yr This incident reminds me of something I used to hear in the early '70's: 'What doesn't get on the news doesn't matter.'
October 28, 201015 yr I hate to see what seems to be radical extremists within our own country that are turning against each other solely based on political party lines. So many untruths and altered messages being put out there from both sides it is very disheartening to me. I may not be happy with the condition our Country is in at this time, but we did not get in this shape just in the past 18 months. It has been along time coming, and it's going to take some time to be turned around.

And what's even worse is the way things run in Washington. Virtually everyone is a prostitute for some special interest group(s). Nothing is transparent. The important stuff is hammered out of the public eye; controlled by literally a handful of people. Go to the Senate or House floor. Confidence is high that what you'll hear are resolutions naming public buildings after local celebrities rather than anything dealing with real issues. Sorry I'm such a cynic this time of year.

Sorry I'm such a cynic this time of year. I am with both of you. I'm so tired of not only the rhetoric of the political spokespersons, but the emphasis put on the rhetoric by the media...all the media. No one discusses issues any more. It's all about sensationalism and the antics grow more outrageous with each election.
October 28, 201015 yr No excuse for what happened here. Man should have been fired, as he was, and charges should be pursued to the furthest. That is the only way to handle future stupidity. Put the guy in jail and let others know that is what happens.
October 28, 201015 yr This is a question for anyone but the one thing that has bothered me is the response of some people. (regardless of which side of the aisle you are on) Doesn't it worry anyone that we have this much anger, angst, disgust, and unrestrained discourse in some that a woman is thrown to the curb and stepped on by some man's foot? How did we get here? Is it the medium that whips us up, or the lack of self control, or the feeling of self importance we have that we will "win the day" for our cause regardless of our own dignity or charity? I mean this could be an Acorn video or a Tea Party video, or a '68 Democratic Convention video, or a "72 Republican Convention video. To me it's about the notions of civility and decorum. In '92 Clinton called Bush a "clown" I believe it was. In the late 90's Clinton's affairs were blasted everywhere, even by those who were likewise unfaithful at the time. In George W.'s day he was snubbed by Jim Webb in Congress. Obama is heckled by an elected leader in a speech in the Congressional Room. Men feel justified at stomping on ladies. It's almost trickle down to me. When our leadership acts like ruffians and villains, the populace takes the hint and does the same. Thanks for the rant time guys. :thumb: Great post Hatz. We haven't had leaders in this country for a long time. Just politicians trying to get elected by whatever means necessary. Some do it themselves, some hide behind secret money.
