Should look something like this:

Region I

[4] Apollo at [1] Male

[3] Southern at [2] Graves County

[1] Henderson County - first round bye

[3] Marshall County at [2] Fern Creek

District 4 teams would have home field in third round if meeting matching seed from District 1

REGION II

[4] Paul Dunbar at [1] Meade County

[3] North Hardin at [2] Lafayette

[4] Nelson County at [1] Scott County

[3] Bryan Station at [2] Central Hardin

District 2 teams would have home field in third round if meeting matching seed from District 7

REGION III

Pleasure Ridge Park, Butler, and Manual tied for second in District 3. I don't know the tiebreaker yet.

[4] PRP/Butler/Manual fourth place at [1] Trinity

[3] Eastern at [2] PRP/Butler/Manual second place

[4] Seneca at [1] St. Xavier

[3] PRP/Butler/Manual third place at [2] Ballard

District 5 teams would have home field in third round if meeting matching seed from District 3

REGION IV

[4] Conner at [1] Henry Clay

[3] Tates Creek at [2] Simon Kenton

[4] Madison Central at [1] Ryle

[3] Campbell County at [2] George Rogers Clark

District 8 teams would have home field in third round if meeting matching seed from District 6

Impressive to put this together so quickly. Nice job.

If all of the above is how it actually plays out, Campbell County and GRC play a meaningless game next week, then matchup in the first round a week later.

Thank you so much. Why I love BGP, ask and someone is so willing to help you out. Best place to get info.

Don't think it is meaningless, but will be interesting how all of this plays out.

Tiebreaker for D3 breaks down like this:

As of today, it's Butler, Manual, PRP.

PRP is pretty much assured of 4th. They need to beat Central and have all of their non-district opponents win out just to tie Manual on the tiebreaker, and Manual and Butler have to lose.

If Manual beats Male, they're second. If not, they're likely third.

Thanks for clarifying all that!:thumb:

It will be interesting to see the dynamics of the Campbell Co/GRC game. How offenses/defenses are played then adjusted for the first round game. Perhaps a lot of offense for both teams in the first half, then rest for the starters in the 2nd half?

I can see no way Manual is anything but second if they beat Male -- if so, their "Opponents' win-total" would be no worse than 19 (more if Central beats PRP or Fern Creek beats Scott Co).

For Butler, even if the best-case-scenario happens for them -- Western beats Ballard, Southern beats DeSales, and Doss beats Fairdale -- that would only propel Butler's "Opponents' win-total" to 18.

So, the way I've got it:

* if Manual beats Male, they're 2nd...Butler's 3rd...PRP's 4th.

* if Male beats Manual, Butler's 2nd...Manual's 3rd...PRP's 4th.

If the 'Shively Miracle' hadn't happened, EVERYTHING would be a lot different! (1-St. X...2-PRP...3-Manual...4-Butler)

To me it's like playing a team in your final scrimmage and then opening the season with them a week later. Nobody planned it this way, but the way things shook out, I'd expect this week's game to look a lot like a JV game.

I think schools will look to avoid scheduling teams from the same class for Week 10 in the new alignment. Obviously scheduling is tough, but these situations (which, admittedly don't happen that often) make for a challenge in how to appropriately handle them.

Sorry, didn't account for Butler playing MEADE CO. in their last game. If they beat Meade AND Western beats Ballard, that would give Butler 20 points. That would be one more than Manual would have if they beat Male. That's one other way Butler could get 2nd in district.

I won't lay awake at night on that scenario, to be blunt. Also, PRP has to beat Central; that would take some grit off the mat considering the battles they've been in lately.

Ryle AD told me that if Henry Clay beats Conner and then beats the winner of Tates Creek/Simon Kenton, that they would host the Region IV championship game against Ryle (assuming, of course, that Ryle advances). He said he wasn't 100% certain, but that he thought that was accurate. Anyone know for certain?

I am pretty sure Ryle will be hosting that game.
