I believe a lot of the 6A schools will still be on their schedule. I'm pretty sure they still have to play Ryle and Boone since they are Boone County Schools, and I have also heard some rumors that Cooper picked up Dixie for a week 10 battle....

 

I hope this is true. I like playing the Boone County schools as I have watched a lot of the kids through peewee and it's nice to see them at the High School level. I think Dixie has a lot of players returning so they will be tough next year. Bradley will be a huge loss for Cooper and Centers is the only "big" back they have if they decide to put him in that position so they may have to go with a speed back or IMO they would be best served going with the spread offense since there is a lot of skilled receivers and Morris can run as well as throw.

I know Cooper has had a couple good frosh teams. So is next year the year Cooper picks up some Boone County wins?

Congrats to the Cougars. Big win for sure. Tough loss for the Cooper kids. Sounds like an exciting game to have witnessed.

There are some that play special teams. Jared Kunkle, Aaron Spencer, Austin Brake, and Jordan Burdine.

I would bet all teams have Soph's on special teams. RomanEmpire was suggesting Conner's future is much better than Cooper based on the outcome of the JV game. My response was the top 5-6 Soph's at Cooper play ONLY Varsity and I was wondering how many Conner had as I wasn't sure. I would bet if you take the Soph's at Cooper and play them on JV that the outcome may be different. Doesn't really matter as they will have to prove it on the field the next few years.

Let me clarify, because I think you may have misinterpreted my comments regarding Conner. I kept reading comments on BGP about how Conner is going in the toilet and Cooper is rising to the top. Basically, two teams going in very different directions. The point I was attempting to make was that Conner is going to be just fine and will flourish in their new class. Conner has sophs that play varsity, perhaps they don't have 5-6 like Cooper that play varsity exclusively, but they do indeed play and will earn their letter this year. However, Conner's JV offense is lead by a freshman QB and I was wondering how many freshman are playing JV for Cooper? I would venture to say quite a few since you have so many of your good sophs playing only varsity. It's easy to say, if this or if that, but you are spot on when you say it doesn't really matter since they have to prove it on the field over the next few years. The main point that I was attempting to make was only this; those that think Conner is going down the toilet are sadly mistaken and are just showing their lack of knowledge of what is going on in Hebron. I am looking forward to watching the Cougars over the next several years, it will be a fun ride. Good luck to the Cougars in the playoffs.

I understand where you are coming from then and I wish the best for Conner except when they play Cooper as I am a Conner alum... Cooper doesn't play Freshman on JV. Last year one Freshman (Centers) played some JV and Varsity but no other Freshman has been moved up as is the coaches decision which he is entitled to make.
