I hear ya Coach! I have that quality myself......."the right to remain silent but not the ability". Should you not believe me, just ask Mrs. Rambler and she will have no problem telling you.

If you would have asked me 2 1/2 weeks ago my opinion on this one I would have definitely have said that Raceland had the advantage but we have laid a big ol' egg against the 2 teams that we needed to beat. I am not sure what to expect Friday night. I heard the term "smoke and mirrors" regarding our play but I think it is very obvious, our offense can score with almost anyone but we couldn't tackle if they tied the opposition in rope and stuck their feet in concrete and then blindfolded them. Time for our team to decide if they want to play football or if they are satisfied with wearing a jersey around school for the "prestige". I, for one, am very disappointed in how we have progressed.

Great post doc ! This Raceland team has been called young/inexperienced all season. While that may be true and I have used those terms in describing this years team, this is game 10 and that label no longer should apply. .Doc, you made that same statement a while back.

What is really concerning me now is for one of a very, very few seasons at RamLand I have to question some of the players desire. By that I mean the desire/want to or whatever you want to calll do these players have what it takes inside to go the extra effort to make a play. I call it RAM PRIDE and I have to question if some are just "going through the motions":irked:. I am not,will not single any one player out. I don't do that and that is for the coaches to do and not fans or anyone else. Besides, the players themselves know if they are giving absolutely all they can.

RAMS........Look at yourself and honestly answer these questions. Be honest bc you can lie to me or any one of us but you cannot lie to yoursef, deep down you know how hard you are playing, if you could possibly give any better effort than you do. I believe that I know that answer but it is not on me.

While all games are important with district being the most important "Fairview, LCA, Russell, GCHS" are the four "rivalry games" for Raceland (2 in district, 2 out of district local rivals). Rams I don't think that I have to tell you your record with these 4 so far do I, if you can't count up a won/lost with the first number being "0" then you need to concentrate more on your academics.

So, it is GUT CHECK time!

 

 

disclaimer......GCHS is no longer a rival game bc they for whatever reason pulled out of a big:confused: rivalry, huge gate draw, lots of local interest game and why :confused::idunno:??? I think that most of us have a good idea. :sssh::lol:

I won't mention any names of course!! But I'll get close!!! This senior class better figure out if they want to go out a winner by stop missing perfect passes thrown, missing tackles, throwing interceptions, miss blocking assignments and put out a little mental and physical effort on special teams ect...This senior class is a bunch of good kids. But they just go through the motions and put the blame on others. They need to grow some BIG shoulders play football like I know they can... Show some LEADERSHIP SKILLS!!! You can throw a junior or two in that mix also. But in the end. This is the seniors team!!

I talk to one of the players about being a leader and playing at a higher level mentaly and physically then the opp. But he's young. And just isn't there. Maybe next year or his senior year.

So, the best we can get from the Rams is excuses already? Come on, here, if it will make you guys feel better, I'll throw out some Devil excuses. We are playing without 2 starters on both sides down in Davidson and Bailey. And Russell seldom plays well coming off a bye week.

So, the best we can get from the Rams is excuses already? Come on, here, if it will make you guys feel better, I'll throw out some Devil excuses. We are playing without 2 starters on both sides down in Davidson and Bailey. And Russell seldom plays well coming off a bye week.

 

LD I was worried something had happened to you!

I think most of the excuses given by the RAM fans on here is we just arn't very good at times for some reason or other. Maybe because of youth or lack of experience, needing to play more physical ect. Youth scares me more then experience. Because we have so many 9th and 10th graders that start. And in almost every case that player will not be as strong or as fast as the opposing player. At times we play very good. Then something happens to make you think. Is that the same team that just came off the field a few minutes ago?? Every team at this point in the season will have kids not playing for different reasons. Both teams have injuries!! We have one or two trying to play through their injury. And I commend them for that. Hopefully we show up and play at a high level like I know the RAMS can play!! We just need to put four quarters together!! If the RAMS do that we may just come out of devil land a winner!!!:popcorn:
