The lineman was James Clark, 6'3" 300 lbs. He and Minton went head to head most of the night.

Congrats To BE. This is a an impressive margin of victory. I look forward to our matchup next week. If you guys are making comparisons on margin of victory between Boyle and SW, and BE and Southwestern, you can forget it. This Rebel team now is much different and much more potent.

I think it will be the end to a memorable season for BE..

Roll on Rebels..

Wow, a tough way to finish the year PSW. I was hoping to get to meet up with you guys again this year and tangle again. It was great mixing it up with you guys. Just something to look forward to next year. Thanks for the year Commando and Warrior.

Tuff game to comment on.. The Warriors never got of the bus.. As far as AverageJoe's comments on the staff go.. He could not be more wrong.. The coaches didn't put the ball on the ground 7 times in the first half alone, not to mention a couple of picks and the coaches didn't drop any wide open passes.. BE didn't do anything different that we had not seen.. They are a solid ball club but not in the same class as Boyle, BowlingGreen, or Highlands...

No, the coaches didn't fumble or throw interceptions but at some point if you truly want to be considered a state power, as most of the SW fans see their team, you should get past the "sweet 16" in the playoffs. The fact is this team never has and like I said they have been beaten as a favorite (in a 1 seed vs. 4 seed game that almost never happens), an underdog, both at home and on the road. Sorry to be candid, I don't want to step on toes but being nice people (fans and coaching staff) does not equal being a great program. I think SW has a very nice group of fans and coaching staff but I'm just saying they get a lot of hype and have not had the results to warrant the attention they get.

It is a real shame that people who have no idea about what goes on, make assinine comments.

Can you give me a legitimate reason that in the last 10 years that SW couldn't win 2 playoff games? I've played plenty of football including 2 state semi-finals and I never made an excuse for why we didn't make or take state. The fact is this staff has reached a plateau--state wise they aren't any better than they were 10 years ago. You want to talk about assinine give me one reason why they're better now?

How many D1A signees has PSW had over the last 10 years?

Don't think SW has made excuses about their play-off losses except for the Dunbar game... I think your team needs a new staff because they haven't won a championship in their history of like over 90 years of football..

15 counting D1 and D1A signees..

No one is more disappointed than these coaches and players. BUT being one of 16 teams left playing from out of the 50 something in AAA, there is no shame here.

I AM PROUD of the staff and how they mentor and work with these boys to turn them into men. I AM PROUD OF THE players and managers for their hard work during the off-season and the season. I wish the seniors well and hope all their dreams come true.

AVGJOE- take it somewhere else we ain't dancing with you.

I knew they had several, that is impressive.

First let me say that I, in know way am making excuses for Southwestern. Coach Anderson and the players, past and present, do not need me to make excuses for them. I just don't appreciate when people make uniformed comments about things where they don't know all the circumstances.

1999 Bullitt East 4 seed vs. Southwestern 1 seed. 1st round of the playoffs.

Bullitt East 19 Southwestern 15, in one of the best football games I have ever witnessed. Bullitt East did come in as a 4, but lets look a little closer. The only reason being, that you previously mentioned a 4 seed rarely beats a 1 seed.

That season B.E. had 2 or 3 starters that were suspended for a couple of district football games that led to defeats. Maybe they would have lost those games anyway but most people who knew what was going on would say that the suspensions were a factor. Maybe some Bullitt East folks could tell us for sure what may have happened. Had it not been for that situation the SW vs. BE game would have probably been for the Regional Champ.

Bullitt East went on to win the Region Championship against a Lincoln Co. Team that SW handled pretty easily during the regular season. Again I realize that if; "if's and but's were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas."

No one is more dissapointed that SW has been knocked out of the playoffs, but a wise man once said, "unless you win in Louisville in December, the season ends the same for every team." I am not saying that to try and sugar coat anything, but it is High School football and while yes, you play to compete and hopefully win a championship, there are very few people who can say they played in a state championship contest, or better yet won a state title.

I admire all those who coach HS sports because they do it for very little money. It is their dedication and desire to see young people develope into young adults, that coaches a very special breed.

You will be hard pressed to find a more hard working coach than Dale Anderson. He does not need me to defend him, but I am going to say a couple of things on his behalf.

Yes, several Warriors have gone on to play football at the next level and that is due to the fact that Coach A and his staff work hard to make sure their kids get recognized by the colleges looking for football players. Not many coaches put that kind of time and effort into seeing that their kids get the opportunity to play after high school. Besides football players, I have witnessed Coach A help non-football players get into college on scholarships.

I have watched him help kids who play other sports who wanted to play at the college level, get aid and or scholarships, so they could continue their playing careers and get an education.

I can also tell you that when the helmet comes off for the final time, Coach A has always been there for his players. I have watched as kids who played many years ago have come forward for assistance and Dale has done what ever he could to help out. I have seen him answer a phone call only to take off to be with the family of a player that has suffered some sort of crises.

I may be out of line, but I would suggest that if anyone would try to remove Dale Anderson as Head Coach of the Southwestern Warriors they would be in for a battle of "Titanic Proportions." I believe the Warrior Nation would stand behind Coach A if this type of scenario ever developed. I also think there would be several former players and families of those players from outside the Southwestern Program who would defend Coach A. Dale Anderson and his wife have made sacrifice after sacrifice for the players, coaches and families of Southwestern Football. They do so out of love and a passion to see kids become successful members of the community.

I have gone on way too long and do not wish to discuss this topic any further. Dale Anderson and his staff have my support as a proud member of the Warrior Nation. Thank you to Coach A, his beautiful wife, and all those who have made being a part of Southwestern Football a wonderful experience.

If it weren't for the suspensions Bullitt East would have likely been the #1 seed. The two best players (QB and RB) were suspended for 2 distirct games and we lost both games. The losses came to Waggener and Breckinridge Co. That BE team whipped Waggener in the 2nd round of the playoffs. PSW vs. BE should have been a regional final, not a 1st round game.

I agree with BuckNut... Coach A and the Warrior program played huge roll in turning my son into a strong, disciplined young man who is unafraid of hard work and pain along with a strong sense of pride and family.. The Warrior program also played a big role in turning my baby girl into an amazingly responsable, dedicated young lady.. And for that I will always be thankful to Coach A and the Warrior family...
