No doubt he has the leg. Still a long one with it all on the line...

Gametime would have been laying on the ground up in the booth after the kick was airborne!

The pass would have had to be completed for the ball to be on the 35. Revere covered number one like a leotard all night. He got one reception for the first TD but after that nada.

This was a really exciting game with both teams making nice comebacks in the second half. I love to look at all that beautiful blue although the LexCath shade is nicer.

They were in range

They were not in range. They were attempting to get into range.

Congrats to CovCath & first year coach R. on fine season. Sorry you come up just short in a shoot-out. Thanks for bringing your brand of football to Northern Ky. When the water level rises, all the best teams seek yet higher ground.

FC's skilled passing combo exploits an area of concern for the Bluebirds, yet they only put up two scores. By getting to the Lex Cath QB, the quick Highlands D can take them out of their game. With CovCath scoring 39 on LC's D, I feel quite good about the Bird's chances to host another semi-final.

What does anyone think of the two no calls on the block in the back on ellison and the late hit on the first drive

They were in range

No, they were not in range unless they have Jason Elam kicking in the Mile High City. And even then it would have been a stretch.

People were begging for a late hit on the first drive - it should not have been called, and it was not. Good call, IMO, even though it would have helped the Colonels.

As far as the block in the back...I did not see it, but EVERYONE I was standing next to saw it and thought it was a blatant block in the back. I would love to see a replay. I was watching Ellison, who was on D for the first time all year to my knowledge, miss a tackle.

Cov Cath's tackling was atrocious. Lex Cath won because they made the big plays. I don't think they had one big, long drive all game; instead, they had multiple big plays that resulted in scores. Lex Cath definitely had the better athletes, and quite possibly the better team, but Cov Cath had this game won and lost it.

Nonethless, it was a great game to watch & a great game played by both teams. Congrats to Lex Cath on taking advantage of the opportunities and making the big plays. They played very well also, and I wish them the best of luck against Highlands next week. I wish it was my Colonels playing, but the Knights earned it.

Great season Colonels, and good luck to the Knights.

I'll have more comments on the game later...I'm too tired right now. ;)
