Last night I was proud to be a Newport Wildcat and then embarassed when I heard of the incident. I am very sorry for the way that the fans acted. Its been a while since Newport has been this far and they really don't know how to act. That is no excuse though. I hope that the East Carter fans can forgive the Newport community for some bad actions. As for the game it was pretty much controlled by Newport from the start. East Carter players never quit and that says a lot about East Carter's players, coaches, and fans. Good luck to the departing seniors and to the Raiders in '06.

Congrats Wildcats. That is fantastic. Keep it going. Don't lose focus and become content with yourself. There's a three game season left to be played. To coaches Schlarman and Reynolds, great job. There are a bunch of folks out in Ft. T pulling for you.
