There is no plus in drawing Mayfield anywhere.

 

Can't wait till the 3rd round of the playoff's!! Going to be something special this year. I believe the top four teams in the BGP poll is the top teams in the state in 1A. 1,2,3,4. It doesn't matter to me how they are ranked. I bet on any given night any one of the top four could beat the other. But I also believe about two or three other teams can sneak up in the playoffs and shake things up!! We'll see!!!!

The only people here going overboard in building up Mayfield aren't the Mayfield fans ...

This is what I said in a early post on this thread. I have said time and time again. I believe Mayfield is #1. But they will have to play their best to win it all. Things are tight this year. IMO:popcorn:

Discount Beechwood at your own peril. Their record means nothing because their losses have not come against 1A schools. Come playoff time they become focused and feel it is their right to be in the state championship game. Beating them at home is near impossible. Really looking forward to following the 1A playoffs.

Louisville Holy Cross may be in line to be the 2nd best class A team in the history of Kentucky Class A football (after Mayfield of course).

The good news is that they will get the chance to take that title from Mayfield (most likely) in the 3rd round.

I just don't know what to think at this point ..... heck ... they only give out one championship winner trophy ... now we need to figure out who should really get it.

 

I think you have forgotten your history, I think your being a little naive. Not only are you claiming Mayfield is the best 1A team ever, but now your saying LHC is the second best?? LCA pummeled this same team last year at state.

 

To get back on topic, I think LHC is better than Beechwood at the moment but the playoffs are far off and their is time for BW to improve. It would make for a great game.
