Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't this guy still not talk to Fay because Fay didn't interview him first? Hasn't Phillips given Fay and the other reporter the silent treatment because they have given more attention to other players? Wasn't Phillips the one who was jealous when Hamilton was getting all the attention? I just don't know what that makes Phillips then.

The part about Hamilton is untrue, but the rest is accurate as far as I know. Phillips is a prima dona.

A Phillips for Rasmus trade would work out great.

So I brought up your theory that we could see the Reds trading Phillips this offseason to my roommate, and he told me it was the stupidest thing he's ever heard, and that I knew nothing about baseball...:lol: Fortunately, he's almost as reliable as Patrick Starr with his predictions, so I think we may be on to something.

Fay stated that Phillips made a comment like " Oh, I see I'm 4th or 5th on your list to interview."

September 12, 201016 yr The ump said it was sexual slurs. Use your imagination. Here's what I can guarantee wasn't said: You're a homosexual. You're a darn queer. You are for gay marriage. You are a fan of Richard Simmons. Your imagination can probably come up with what was said. Unless Bob Davidson is lying something offensive was said. Just like we said in the "fight in the stands" thread your ability to pay for a ticket doesn't give you the right to run your mouth with offensive language so this guy probably got what he deserved REGARDLESS of whose idea it was to run him. I'd rather not speculate as to what was said. I can use my imagination, but that has no bearing on the ACTUAL WORDS that were said / shouted. I can say that it would take a lot for me to kick someone out of a game. Certain curse words would do more than others. I can't imagine tossing someone without saying a few of the magic words over the course of a few innings.
September 12, 201016 yr From what I remember, the beef between Fay & Phillips stemmed from Fay commenting on how BP didn't always hustle, and rightfully so.
