This guy has been bashing Bama for years. He is a joke down there. Every year its the same ole junk, no matter who the coach is. Every item he brought up we know about it, its been rehashed already, so he wants to bring it up. But you thread starter don't know the history behind him, so we just ignore him. And I didn't read but a couple of lines of the article once I saw the writer.

 

I know his hostory AL. I lived down there and read that paper every day and listened to Jay Barker and his sidekick on AM radio every morning driving to work. I heard what they said about him as well as all of the comments of the readers. I always liked his stories and thought this was an interesting read.

I give you one thing, you're consistent about bringing up something that is totally irrelevant to the thread, and subject. Hey the Alabama violations don't bother me a bit, they don't bother you or AL a bit, and it's obvious they don't bother Saban a bit. You're right. No sense even discussing it.

Did y'all see the part where I wrote he has always done this, so when the thread statrter chose to say how he "Questions Saban with power," bothered me. Go to any Bama site and search his name. He nevers writes anything positive on us and after he rehashes this stuff, how is that power? Thats why I said what I said. NCAA also is watching us very close and we are still playing and winning championships. Why is that?

Alabama won a SEC Championship, and a NCAA Championship because they have a great coach, and great players, but wouldn't you rather the NCAA not be watching the program very closely?

Because they have one of the top coaches in college football and by far the best collection of players. No shock there. They are awesome. No one is disputing that. I just think it is good to see someone not just falling all over themselves thinking Saban and the Tide can do no wrong. When NO ONE is questioning the people in power - whether it be college sports, politics, religion, etc - that is when trouble begins.

Little history...NCAA had always wanted to get Bama. Back in the days of Bear they couldn't and they knew Bear had some issues. This includes Kentucky /A & M. So the first chance they get, a key player tells of payments and calls NCAA, this is after a player did the same at Auburn. Jelks/Ramsey. Nothing went down for Bama. Later a kid takes payments he thought was a loan from a relative but a "want to be agent", he tells a buddy, buddy tells him its wrong and he gives the money back, too late agent calls NCAA. All this is known, again my point is the reporter, and his dislike for Bama..we all know of his writing.

 

Saban doesn't like any reporters. And like I said NCAA is all over Bama and we have reported self problems to them. This last issue/Ingram-Jones fishing/textbooks/ did the article mention that? I didn't read it because I know the writer.

He wasn't really talking about the school's history. He wasn't talking about Bear, or DuBose...Shula or Franchione...just Saban. That is relevant news whether you choose to read it or not. It's funny how closely this sounds like some UK fans when talking about Tipton. I wasn't trying to rile anyone up, I have always enjoyed his writing and thought i'd post.

I don't care if he is a Bama hater or not. The only way he can "hate" on them is if they give him something to "hate" about. A player, once again, is involved with NCAA Illegal activity with an agent. He gets suspended and will set out games and repay the benefits. He isn't making it up and if you are in Alabama it is very newsworthy. Not sure once again what Phil Fulmer has to do with it.
