August 26, 201016 yr All doubt, dislike, disagreements, concerns, criticism or ANYTHING critical of Obama is unfounded. It is ONLY the fault of those that feel that way, and has NOTHING to do with Obama or his administration. Just sit down and read one of his books and you will understand. Ridiculously reaching, to put it mildly. If you want to denounce policy, I've got no problem with that. However, all this hogwash about where he was born, is he a Muslim, does he hate the US is flat out fear mongering. I am glad some of my conservative friends see this and I can actually have a debate over the real issues.
August 26, 201016 yr We can agree to disagree TBG. You can say what you want - things just don't add up IMO! No fear-mongering intended! if there is misinformation, it is because he has not been forthright with the american people about things. It is hard to know what is true and what is not with him. The press writes what sells papers/commercials. How do you know that he is not a Muslim? Do you believe everything that is written about him? We know more about our supreme court justices, then we know about him. Put him in front of congress and under oath and let's find out the real truth. Not going to happen though....

But I guess things are going better for you and your conservative friends- happy for you.

August 26, 201016 yr This letter is unique in the fact that half of it is wrong and the other half is incorrect... Ridiculous.
August 26, 201016 yr Ridiculous. Provide me with one accuarate point he makes, there are a couple philosophical differences such as wind vs fossil fuels that he's afraid of but largely I find this to be malarkey.

I am glad some of my conservative friends see this and I can actually have a debate over the real issues. So...All doubt, dislike, disagreements, concerns, criticism or ANYTHING critical of Obama outside of policy is unfounded? It is ONLY the fault of those that feel that way, and has NOTHING to do with Obama, his actions, his words or his administration appointees. Just sit down and read one of his books and you will understand that there is no merit to anything negative or controversial about him. After all, policy is all that matters when it comes to the POTUS. Right? Again

If you believe things that have been shown to be untrue, that is up to you. You want to know about his life? Who should have to tell you? Look it up for yourself. How did you know that President Bush wasn't a Hindu? Did you believe everything that was written about him? You want to put the president under oath to find out what truth? On what grounds? By the way, you're not the one selling the fear. You're the one that has bought into it - hook, line and sinker.
August 26, 201016 yr Provide me with one accuarate point he makes, there are a couple philosophical differences such as wind vs fossil fuels that he's afraid of but largely I find this to be malarkey. I don't even have to refer back to the first post. He's never run a company nor made a payroll and he's never served in the military. That's two.
August 26, 201016 yr You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. I find this to be a weird statement. We know who Obama's parents are, who his relatives in Africa are, where he was born, where he was educated from early education through college. We know what his jobs have been. We know where he went to church in Chicago, and who the pastor was. We know who his wife is, what her her educational and career path have been. We know his two beautiful little girls. We know he smokes, he loves basketball and sports in general. We know what his and Michelle's parental philosophy is. We may not choose to believe some things (eg birthers, the pastor issue). We may not agree with his political philosophy, but there's a lot we do know. You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. Of course, the same can be said of millions of college students, including my own son. Thank God for scholarships, grants and loans. You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.Exactly what does that mean? What is culturally an American? He likes hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, basketball, sports, family..... You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll. I have no idea how many of our former presidents did. But I wonder if the author was scared of them as well? You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core. GWB had military experience, and he scared the hell out of me! You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others. The author doesn't seem to exhibit much of either of these qualities in this missive. And seriously...exactly who is he comparing Obama to in this one? You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.. I can see the argument about aligning with extremists. But I think that 1) it's extreme to assume they want American to fail. I don't think any American wants America to fail. They simply have different ideas about what they feel will make America successful. 2) Why is public denounciation so importent? He's distanced himself and said he doesn't agree with the sentiments of the accused extremist. It is possible to differ in philosophy from your friends. You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the 'blame America ' crowd and deliver this message abroad. Well, simply put, I vehemently disagree. I don't think he delivers that message at all anywhere. You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector. Disagree with this as well. This is driven from a simple difference of opinion in what will work best. But, it ain't like the private sector has been doing a bang up job of things in this country, and that goes back decades before Obama became president. You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one. Hogwash. For my detailed opinions refer to any number of threads over the last couple of years on this subject. You scare me because you prefer 'wind mills' to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves. By all means, let's increase our dependence on finite resources. Let's not develop energy resources independent of the mentioned. Eventually, we can be BFF's with the Saudi's forEVER. You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world. Disagree again. He doesn't want to destroy capitalism at all. Love the "golden egg reference." Thank you oh corporate capitalist who deign to share their golden egg with me. We do enjoy the highest standard of living in the world. Does that mean it's equitable for all our citizens? No. Does it mean our poor are not as poor as those in Darfur, for instance? No. But considering the amount of wealth at the top, it's immoral that children in this country still starve to death or go hungry. You scare me because you have begun to use 'extortion' tactics against certain banks and corporations. I can only guess the author was wholeheartedly for the actions of wall street and the banking industry that got us into the shape we're in. You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals. Not sure why you're scared of him on that one. Be scared of the one's you think are shrinking and get your own guy in there. Can't wait to see the improvement. Seriously...think you can do it better? Step up to bat, baby! You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people. Interesting. I can only assume that the writer feels that "intelligent people" are the one's he agrees with. The rest must be idiots. You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient. Really. Seriously. That's too ridiculously over the top to seriously respond to. :lol You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do. Not so, but keep overlooking the critics in the media. You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaugh's, Hannity's, O'Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view. Frankly, if this were true, I'd be a super-happy camper. You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing. And this is in evidence with........examples? Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years. Seriously, Lou. Even if other statements above hadn't been ridiculous, this one takes the cake. Lou Pritchett Lou, I hear you're a good guy. Why not run for President yourself? I would hope you had more substance to your campaign than this exaggerated rant. I'd think a former Vice President would be much more logical in his opposition, and actually present some sort of solutions. But, much of this rant is "personal" in nature. Not a good way to go about convincing the masses.

Quit this childish behavior of putting words in my mouth. Get a grip? Quit this childish behavior? You are the one that said "If you honestly want to know about his life, read one of his books." What could one of his books possibly prove? Quit this childish behavior? No! You're not my boss. Nyaa Nyaa, Nya Nyaaa Nya.
