I'll root for coach Lucas and the Juggs but I think it will be a long night for Lloyd.

Thats a good prediction.

Not trying to stir up anything. I'd like to see Lloyd do well, but they've been in a tailspin since the coaching mess they got caught up in several years ago. Holmes has looked like a different team from the Bulldogs that I remember. Mix the talent they have and the discipline they're getting and I think you have a pretty dangerous combination.

 

I didn't take anything in your post as stirring the pot. I thought it made good sense, and like I said FWIW, I agree with most of what you said. :thumb:

You think he is mostly right? What is he wrong about? He is on point, Lloyd does not need teams like Holmes and Conner on the schedule until they can complete with those teams. I am a Lloyd guy and I will always pull for my Juggs but they have their hands full this friday. Too much size and speed to overcome, the only thing that could slow down Holmes is Lloyd keeping Holmes offense on the sidelines, if not its going to be a long night. GO JUGGS!!

 

I'm not sure he's right about the programs heading in different directions. From what I've gathered Lloyd is young this year, so maybe they are headed back in the right direction. Maybe not. We'll see, but I'll let it play out a little before I decide.

Nothing has changed at Lloyd as far as coaching, the coaching staff or style of play, the only thing that has changed is that they have gotten younger. When does young equal headed in the right direction? The first few weeks of the schedule will be tough for the Juggs, after week 3 we should see what this team has and what it can do in 2A this year.

I think Lloyd is heading in the right direction this year as they have started a 7th/8th grade program along with bringing back the freshman program. The 27 players on the Varsity team are good and will play hard. I too think Holmes will hand it to the Juggs as next week with Conner. They will do well in the AA class and time will tell. I too am a backer in the program and only wish them the best. Go JUGG'S!!!!!!!!! JD

I know, but when I re-read what I posted, it seemed like I had an axe to grind against Lloyd, which was not the case. I blame it on the late hour and ensuing crankiness. ;-)
