I heard GC lost one of their O-lineman to a auto accident this weekend. He wasn't seriously injured, but bruised and sore - probably out this week. Anyone know if this is true?

 

Nick Tackett, 6'2 260 lb Junior, was injured in an auto accident Saturday. He will be out for two weeks. He will be replaced by either Poplin, 6'2 235 lb Senior, or Nichols, 6'5 220 Junior. Neither are as experienced as Tackett but will get the job done until he can get back on the field. We are just thankful the injuries were not more serious.

Just a safety side note. Had young Mr. Tackett been wearing his seatbelt, he would have had less serious injuries and possibly been playing Saturday night. Kids and adults reading this........WEAR YOUR SEATBELTS!!!!!!

Greenup names the score in this one. GC hasn't won this game since 2000 when Coach Maynard was at the helms in Musketeer land. Victories are limited for GC in this series but they have all occurred in Lloyd. Who knows how many years before this happens again but this year, GC is way more talented.
