August 6, 201016 yr I've gone back and forth on this for two days....both divisions are really tough to predict this year. So, I'm going out on a limb I guess...but here it is. West Bama LSU Auburn Arkansas Ole Miss Miss. St. East Florida UK UGA South Carolina UT Vandy MVP - Ingram Off POY - Mallet Def POY - Hightower COY - Joker I HONESTLY believe you could take 2 - 5 in both the East and West this year and put them in any order you want and I couldn't argue it. HT said he can't put UK above UT until he sees it with his own eyes...well, I've seen it in person and I believe it happens again this year. Of course my "COY" pick is contigent ONLY on the above divisional predictions coming true. If it flip flops around, I would see Saban getting it as i still think they could run the table again. 3 reg seasons in a row would seem nearly impossible, but my goodness they have some serious talent. I absolutely can't wait for the season to start. I told HT 6 months ago that UK has the easiest "on paper" SEC schedule that I've ever seen. UGA and Auburn at home (beat both on the road last year). USC light at home (I don't even wanna talk about that 2 pt. conversion play on the road last year). Vandy - well like CCC said, they are Vandy. Pretty nice home schedule. The road we all know very well...3 of the 4 conference road games are against teams picked behind us in the preseason. Our non conference schedule is very weak and I'm absolutely OK with that. Let's just do it now. Get it started. I wish it were Sept. 2nd. After ANOTHER night of sleep.... I see UK going this way. W's against Louisville, Akron, WKU, Vandy, and CSU. Win 1 of the Mississippi trips....Win 1 or 2 of the UGA, USC, and Auburn games....loss at Florida and end the season by ending the streak! So, 8 - 4 with an outside shot at 9 - 3. That puts us 3rd or 4th in the East depending on how it all shakes out.

August 19, 201016 yr No one with any love for Mississippi State? I think Miss. St. will be improved. I think the bottom of the SEC is finally catching up with the middle of the pack I guess.
August 19, 201016 yr Author I think Miss. St. will be improved. I think the bottom of the SEC is finally catching up with the middle of the pack I guess. I think Mississippi State is the scariest team in the SEC. Not the best or the most talented, but I'd hate to play them with Mullen because I don't think teams take them as serious as they should.

He seems to be a good coach, but he acts like a 4 year old.

I know how you feel about Mullen, but that really doesn't have anything to do with if MSU will win games or not I don't think. But, I know why you hate him and you have a good reason. :thumb: You know how I feel, I think a trained monkey could have more composure in front of a camera than the guy. I can't say anything about him off the field, but he's a funny guy to watch in an interview or anything really and not in a good way.

For sure he gave some good ones on ESPN yesterday, I really think they should have all SEC coaches like they did him though. It would be fun to listen to what all of them have to say. I really regret I missed the Mullen/Nutt fundraiser for the boys and girls club I would have liked to have seen both of them speaking at the same place on the same night.
August 20, 201016 yr Cats, I'll say something about every team we play and you can "mark it down".
August 20, 201016 yr Which is easier to replace...a defense or offense? Which is coach Saban's more experince side? We have eight guys plus backups on Offense. Our third running back is probaby our best back. The 4th quarter will be ours. Our D has very capable players, but young. As the season goes along they will improve. You better get us early. I think 'Bama will be great again this season. The offense returns a lot and should be better. Saban just reloads the defense and he knows how to coach 'em. They'll be dominant on that side of the ball again. I think they repeat.

August 20, 201016 yr I agree with FormerCawoodTrojan...I just guessed at 2-5 in each division. The only ones I was confident in were the first and last place teams.
