I have found a new TV love. I've recently been watching "Dexter" seasons 1 and 2 on my instant q on netflix. Without spilling any details.....can anyone tell me if the show goes on to be great or are the next few seasons....."ehh"

I did the same. Season 1 has been my favorite so far. I have not yet seen season 4 which comes out soon on DVD. But there is some consistency with it and it is a great show! Enjoy!

Season 1 - Great season.

Season 2 - Not bad, but not my favorite.

Season 3 - Just ok for me. I found it boring really.

Season 4 - Not only is it the best season of Dexter---but it's one of my favorite seasons of TV.

I wouldn't skip any season though. You need the back story.

I've watched the last 3 seasons in a span of about 2 months, and in my opinion, they get better each year. Everyone was telling me that Season 4 is the best, I'm still waiting on it. That being the case, it will be hard for season 5 to live up to it.

Thanks! I will be watching Dexter season 3 shortly

There is already an old thread on this but I love this show.

Season 4 is my favorite followed by season 2. The first season was good, but I thought it had the most cliche' storyline of all the seasons. I really liked the Miguel Prado character in Season 3 but it was no where near as good as season 2 or 4 IMO.

I think season 5 is going to be the best check out this preview....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUbCMbW-BRE. The link my have some offensive material, which is why I only posted the link to the video. I think he's going to be totally insane is season 5 and the "code of Harry" is going to get thrown out the window.

BTW, I'm kind of hoping Dexter gets Pat Riley sometime soon .

But for the orginal question, the show gets better and better. BigSpikes got me hooked on the show and everyone we've got to watch it has loved the show. I think it's the best thing since the Soprano's on TV.

I would put all of these above Dexter and I love Dexter:

Breaking Bad

Mad Men

The Wire aka "best TV show ever made"

I have to agree with you. If you haven't heard, the writer of the sopranos and Martin Scorsese are now doing a new mob show based in the 1920's in Atlantic city called " Boardwalk Empire" looks fantastic.

Season 4 with the Trinity Killer is freaking amazing. Such a great story line. Looking forward to season 5.

That sounds awesome. Me and my friends are all big Scorsese fans.

I finished seson 4 about a month or so ago and loved it! Can't wait to season 5. Dexter and Breaking Bad are my favorite. Anyone know when season 5 starts?

Breaking Bad is great, but it's not better than Dexter. Dexter is probably in my top 2 right now.
