Why would residence matter?

 

Well, considering sources have said the kid doesnt have a home at this time I think it will matter greatly. From my understanding of this young man is he has a very very difficult homelife and at this time I am not sure if there is a physical residence he can call home. He is definitely a project for Sherwin but he took in Demarko when he was a sophomore and look what happened to him. If Justin plays this season you will see a Top 10 player in the Region hands down. He can score at will and leaps out of the gym, very long arms and has a nice soft jumper that is getting better and better.

He, McLendon was not in attendence yesterday.

He was there but didn't practice because of a hurt ankle.

McClendon's dad Tony graduated from HC with Coach Goetz. Christian has been to some open gyms but I don't know if he is transferring for sure.

I heard Mclendon is a done deal for Holy Cross. The question is, how good does this now make them even if the other two players don't come?

So you're not sure if he'll live close enough to make it to Holy Cross? The KHSAA doesn't care where he lives.

When was the last time Holy Cross has made it to the regional tourney? They have actually fallen behind Beechwood over the last few years in terms of results,talent and coaching.

They will need more than this Justin and McClendon to contend in that District IMO. Berger is a nice returing player but I dont think anyone else has proven themselves at the Varsity level and even the two aforementioned players havent played any varsity.

Good point, HC used to be a Basketball factory but anymore its struggling.

I would find this shocking. It seems like Holmes will be playing a more up tempo type of offense next year under Booher. Why would he want to leave that situation and go play in a system that struggles to score 50 points a game. I would think he would get a lot more exposure playing at Holmes for the next 3 year than at Holy Cross. I'm sure there are other issues involved as well. I was very surprised that he didn't get a lot more varsity minutes this past season for Holmes. His star seems to have faded quite a bit from when he was a 7th/8th grader.
