TRUE REDHOUND
Wrong thread, on the one about best backs in Eky i have heard that reynolds is right there with chaffin, that he is the one people should key on more? Any truth to that?

Any truth to that? I think he is, as is Joe Roskopf, Lynn Camp has three very good backs, as far as underrated both Reynolds and Roskopf are underrated. FBALL
RB/DB Kasey Clark of Russell. He is a playmaker on both sides of the ball and can change a game in an instant. RB Brennan Sargent of Boyd County. The Lions really fell on hard times the last half of the season but this kid is a great RB. He has power, good speed and runs very hard. One of the best IMO. FBALL
I dont know if you could say those 2 are underrated. They definetly get the most attention on their teams. They get most of the attention from the teams in the NE KY area that play them. But outside of this area, I don't think many people realize how good these two are. MountainTop5
Mboro's Josh Lewis at OLB - you never hear of him except he's always making the key tackle or sack when they need it. TE Andrew Breeding may have the best hands of any EKy TE. About 25 yards per catch, and gets his blocks, too.
BrewDog
Shaun Music, QB, Johnson Central. Heart and soul of the team. Excellent option QB, average passer, but without him, just like last year, it would take Central several weeks to recover. Lots of heart too, after coming back from a gruesome injury that would have ended most HS players' careers. Excellent defensive player too. Not under-rated by his team. But in the region, Ron Blume gets all the attention. Blake Johnson and Shawn Grimm are another two that contribute alot to the JC offense, but not as much as Music. Kevo302
Johnson Central has alot of players that fly under the radar because of the season that Ron Blume is having, not that im not glad he is having this season, but if these players were on some other teams you would be hearing alot about them. Blake Johnson: FB/LB. He is a bull that usually takes 3-4 guys to bring down if you are lucky. He is a junior so district, yes you have to play him again next year. Also a great hard nosed LB, probably what he will be scouted for at the college level. Micheal Tackett: TE/LB. One of the hardest hitters you will ever see. The boy lives to punish people and make them wish the game was over. Has good speed and good strenght with a 6th sense of where the ball is going. A very solid LB. Tommy Taylor: WR/DB. In the beginning of the season, Tommy was more of a offensive threat but the JC coaching staff has started to play him on the defensive side and has helped a young secondary of JC tremendously. At one point in the season he had 8 caughts for 8 TD's. If JC was more of a passing team, you would hear his name alot. On the Defensive side in about the last 5 games, he has had many pass deflections that broke up big plays and about 4 INT's. Tommy has good speed and can jump out of the gym. Ian Welch: WR/DB. Just a freshman and is already making strides to be a great one for JC in the future. Already a solid defender in the secondary. Shawn Grimm: RB/DE. To look at him you wouldnt think much of him but watch him about 5 plays and you will wonder why he doesnt get more carries. Just a sophomore, he hits the holes at full speed and likes to run over and not around his defenders, although he does still have good agility. Also brings a good pass rush on all QB while trying to throw. Going to be a great player in years to come at JC. Chase Richardson: DL. Just a freshman but is going to be a great one. Has a good combination of size, strength, and speed. You will be hearing alot about this boy in the future. JC has lots of under the radar players that will be making lots of noise in years to come. You wouldn't be making these players out to be more than they really are would you? :sssh:
