As hypothesis and models are suggested by evidence, creationism does not qualify for either of these categories. Without the missing link that shows the proof from ape to man, how can science teach evolution when there is not proof that man came from ape? Evolution doesn't "say" that man came from ape. I don't know of a circumstance where actual science was proven completely wrong. Modifications do need to be made, based on new evidence. Examples include models of the atom that were changed from simply a very tiny, indivible hard, solid ball, to a sphere that contained mixed positive and negative charges, to something that had a small positive core surrounded by revolving negative particles to an object containing protons, electrons and neutrons. I could give more details, but suffice it to say that the specifics are being refined as more evidence is found. However, in no way has the atom proven NOT to exist.

Because the Klan brings back thoughts of the day the Klan killed his father in Columbia Alabama when he was 9 years old. I guess this Sunday while we are eating Sunday dinner, I will just tell him to get over it. You are to sensitive old man. So do you think it is okay to go to a school in New York dress up like terrorist and pretend to take down the twin towers? Then tell everyone to get over it because they are too sensitive. If it's for purposes of a play and to learn than sure. Why not? Those kids weren't really klan members you see, they were just portraying some. Am I going to get offended if I watch TV and see an actor portraying a crazy Muslim extremist? Nope. Am I going to get angry next season when I have watch Ellen Degeneres? Yes, I generally can't stand her.

That in itself is educational. Without the robes, a racist is merely an ignorant redneck appearing like your cowardly neighbor. With the robes, the racist is transformed, with others, into an organized para-military unit standing for one disgusting unifying message and with the power to convey hatred and fear, rooted in history from Nathan Bedford Forrest to the present. The play conveys nothing without the use of the robe.
