I went with the Joe Satriani Mo Joe pickup in the bridge on my Schecter. VERY nice!!! Smooth tone, great harmonics, I love it!!!

Just picked up another guitar. ESP LTD EC QM 200. Beautiful finish.

NICE ! :thumb:

Les Pauls are heavy, and the 3 pickup version always seemed a bit heavier to boot. But you are right, so many different tonal variations! I LOVED em! The downside was that to hold one on your shoulders for 3-4 hours a night got a little tough at times. I also love Strats, and the H-S-H configuration was always my favorite. With a good coil tap on the bridge humbucker, you could get about any electric guitar sound/tone you wanted! And they were lighter!

Well, that was never a problem for me since I've never played outside of my own home. :D

The Les Paul Studio Lite I had was actually pretty, uh...light.

Not as light as a Strat, but it wasn't bad at all. Nothing like a standard Les Paul. It was made from a different kind of wood, but I can't remember what kind.

I've been playing guitar for round-about 20 years, and I've got a handful of other instruments I play, so I've got a kind-of collection.

I've got a vintage '64 Deluxe Amp that I bought in pieces and assembled myself, a 1980 Gretsch Beast, and a reissue '72 Fender Tele Deluxe. My first guitar was the Takamine GS305S (it was called a "Nashviller" when I bought mine) and I just upgraded from a nice little Alvarez to a Martin OMC-1E. I got the '76 Gibson banjo as a high school graduation present, and I picked up the Alvarez mandolin about 3 years back.

...just a couple more.

Nice pics. I LOVE that Gretsch!

Thanks guys!

Thunder, the Gretsch is a fantastic guitar. It's got a really unique warm sound for being a solid-body double humbucker rig - even when it's cranked. They don't call it "The Beast" for nothin'! I've had people laugh at me for saying it, but I'd personally take it over any Gibson solid-body.

You don't see many of those Gretsch's around like that anymore.

I just put some new pickups in my ESP. A Mo Joe in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck. They really bring the tone out in the guitar better than the stock ESP pickups, ... which weren't bad, but these are much better!
