April 23, 201016 yr at Patriots Ravens at Panthers at Browns Buccaneers bye at Falcons Dolphins Steelers (MNF) at Colts Bills at Jets (NFL Network Thursday Night Thanksgiving) Saints at Steelers Browns Chargers (NBC Sunday Night) at Ravens 3-2 before the bye would be a success. I could see them being 10-6 if the offense begins to click. 12-4 with losses to Saints, Colts, Patriots and Jets if they repeat their divisional performance from last year. Tough schedule. Passing game continues to struggle and .500 is realistic.
April 29, 201016 yr Is everyone assuming the Patriots game is a loss? I think they are playing them at the best possible time. Look at last year when it took a couple lucky bounces and a bad decision on a kick off return for the Pats to beat the Bills game one, in their own house, on the first Monday night of the season. I know Brady isn't coming off a major injury this year, but they will have a lot of new pieces in place on both sides of the ball. I like that they get them early rather than later.
April 29, 201016 yr NFL scheduling is pretty easy. You play your division teams twice. So thats six games. You play one division in the AFC which rotates every year and that is another 4 games. Then one division in the NFC every year that rotates, so that is another 4 games which is 14 games total so far. So that only leaves two other games. Those two other games are determined by where you finished the season before. Since the Bengals finished first, they get the first place teams from the other two division in the AFC. That is why as soon as the season is over, people know who actually will be on their schedule. They just don't know the where and when until April. I get all that. It just seems dumb to me to give crap teams crap schedules, and not reward your best teams.
April 30, 201016 yr I get all that. It just seems dumb to me to give crap teams crap schedules, and not reward your best teams. Its to create balance in the league. If they did it that way, then we probably would never see teams be bad one year, and then come back to be a playoff team the next year. If a team is good enough, they will still be able to make the playoffs. Just look at the Colts, Eagles, Patriots, etc. Those teams usually finish first, and then have that tough schedule the next year and still end up being a playoff team. If a team is good enough to seriously make a run for the Super Bowl, they would be be able to deal with a tough schedule.
